Well, look at the picture. It isn't smooth, it's more jagged and square-ish.

after finally making this work i was saddened by the amount of "forced contrast" it just doesnt look realistic, but "different"

That is SMAA, it is an antialiasing technique, you can use whichever you want, you can use it with FXAA or even the AA in the in-game settings. I really don't understand what the problem is.

Alright, thanks for the feedback, you can change it to your liking though.

Ohh no, that is not made by the preset, it is already in the vanilla game, my preset just may make it a bit more visible sometimes. This is a picture with the enhancer uninstalled. See?

hello, I was wondering if there is a version of this mod that does not include depth of field, as is is difficult to drive when the oncoming environment if blurred out, thanks.

    Hi !
i wanted to try this mod today, i have red the instructions as well as my files are placed just like on the screenshots from Randomshortguy. But it doesn't work, i have this error message in the D3D11.log and in game :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\Bin64\ReShade.fx(10, 2): preprocessor warning: Could not find application profile, falling back to default

Could it be possible that they made a change to Reshade ? the reshade.fx and reshade64.dll (renamed into d3d11.dll in the bin64 folder) are dated from the 6th march 2016. In the screenshots of Randomshortguy i see that those files are dated from november 2015.
I don't see what i can do better than following the instruction, could you Cessni check if it works with the latest version of reshade on their website ?
Maybe it's something else particular on my desktop, but i don't see what it could be then.

So how do I uninstall? or at least disable it outside of the game? Because Since the game updated it has basically Killed beamng. Like it wont start.

Yes, because I updated it so people doesn't have a chance to download the wrong one like you did.

To install it you move the files into the game's folder, to uninstall it you take them out, it's not quantum mechanics...

It's because you've put it in the main directory. Reshade folder, reshade.fx and d3d11.dll have to be in your Bin64 folder.
Also as i made the error, you need to use only reshade 1.1 and not 2 dot something.

The reason is you did not follow the instructions, just like most people who comment here.

    That's extremely helpful man, thanks!

Bro, instead of insulting someone why don't you actually point out the issue? I said I followed your instructions, at least 2-3 times, before posting. I'm not new to BeamNG, as you can tell by my forum badge info... Your help is much appreciated.

Saw it is in /Bin64 not the main directory. My apologies for wasting your time.

Well you said you followed the instructions, but the images showed you did not. If you think telling you what you did wrong is an insult or is not helpful, I'm afraid you are on your own to solve it.

    The instructions are very clear.
