I attempted to use the current Vehicle creation tutorial, and according to the date it was created and new programs, I feel like it's outdated, or it's just not thorough enough. Instead of Blender, I was instructed to use a separate program (NodeBeamEditor), and even then with my short learning curve (or at least I'd like to think I have one), I'm having a hard time setting anything up in the program. Even with my little stint with Blender, I was able to setup a car model that I wanted to utilize and export, and was unable to figure out how to utilize the separate parts of the car inside of .jbeam files. Now tell me if I'm just being lazy and there's something else I can reference for building my own car, but I've tried opening up the existing vehicles that come with the game and reviewing how the cars are setup through the devs, but it's pretty hard to read what's going on with no guidance. I just can't figure out what to do with the beams and nodes once I have them exported. tl;dr How do I create a vehicle once I have all of my beams and nodes exported from Blender?
Yeah that's the exact one, but since I'm dealing with different parts of the vehicle as different files, I'm not sure what nodes/beams to set as glass, let alone how to set it as glass, strengths, etc. Basically, I don't know what to do once I have the beams and nodes.
Only nodes can have a 'Glass' material, but "Node material only affects sound and particle properties, not physics." Accoring to the wiki. The beam differences between lets say a window and the metal part of a car are different values for beamspring, -strength,- damp and -deform. I'm not sure what's not clear about a jbeam, taking an original vehicle as example should do the trick..?
