I really dig any Volvo's design. They all look extremely good in totally different ways. And apparently they're really reliable as well.

I want an XC70 so badly...

We had VW Passats for the past years. Now we get BMW 3-Series. A V60 would be something nice though, since they would fit the needs the police has quite nicely and looks good. Also, probably more comfortable than the 3-Series.

Its a Ford so of course it resembles their other vehicles & its the Commodores biggest competitor, so of course its body is similar.

Today a friend of mine wrecked his car. With me in it.
He turned across traffic on a green light, thinking he had a protected turn for some reason, and got hit in the front right corner by a Kia Spectra. He ignored me yelling at him trying to get his attention the whole time he was doing it. I don't think he ever touched the brakes. One of the dumbest crashes I've ever seen.
My stupid friends are gonna kill me with their bad driving before I get my license.

My friend who got the P71 is gonna end up that way if he isn't careful. He tries drifting it around every corner and does burnouts from every stop sign. He has 2 years worth of payments on it to. No way in hell it's going to last that long with the way he drives it.

He spun it out going around a rotary the other night. I was in my Merc luckily so I just saw the headlights scan across the horizon in my mirror and saw a 17.5' barge blocking the road.

Also, his left headlight has moisture in it, the C-Pillars have weird dents on the base of them, the frame rails behind the rear tires have massive silver over spray on them, shift interlock is broke, exhaust leaks, engine bay has weird sand and rust all over it to.

And, to top it all off, they advertised it as a 3.55LSD but I checked the tags and it says it has a 3.27 Open Diff. The LSD was one of the reasons he went with a P71 in the first place. My car is as quick as his. 0-60 for both is 8.4-8.5 seconds.

These activities are incredibly dangerous and irresponsible and I have never ever done any of these things late at night in an industrial area or on quiet forest backroads.

And I positively didn't accidentally go so sideways at 50mph I needed full lock to hold the skid the other night. I definitely didn't pee a little while doing it either.

You see, you can at least watch the idiocy from afar in your own car. I have to be part of it because I rely on my friends to drive me places when we're going somewhere.
Most of what I see isn't really purposeful reckless driving, though. It's stupid absent minded shit like running stop signs or failing to yield. I can't get over how fucking dumb that was. I forgot to mention that he's had his license for five days. It stopped being funny a long time ago. I'm tired of dealing with it.
How does your friend not get tickets, driving like that all the time? I'd tell him to have some pride in ownership and clean it up a little bit. People that drive P71s seem to be lacking in that department, though. Most that I see are beat up and dirty.

The rotary was in a shopping center 30 mins from our town at about 2:30am. Not a soul around. The only people we ever really see are cops at that time in the night/morning.

We go out on most our cruises after 12am and come back around 2-3am. He really doesn't do stupid shit until we are well out of town and/or when the roads are open and clear so you can spot cops or other traffic from a mile away. When he pulls away from stop signs he'll floor it about every 6th-8th stop sign. He bought the cheapest shit tires for this purpose. I think he paid like $280 for 4 tires which is pretty dirt cheap. I paid almost $500 for my Firehawk Wideovals+Alignment.

I think he plans on using the Vic to build credit which he'll in turn use towards a Charger R/T.

I think they're ok. I have some strange love for the Ford SHO. It's a large car with an absolutely horrible amount of internal space and a crappy PTU, but a stock engine with 367hp and 350lb/ft torque. A quick tune on the engine seems to be able to push an extra 109 HP and 158 lb/ft, so 476hp and 508lb/ft. Probably not something easy to get, or good on the power transfer unit, but fun.

I want to make a sleeper chevette someday. and i'd keep a bad paintjob and a rusty exterior because i'd replace the baskseats with a twin turbo V8, the normal transmission with a 8 speed automatic transmission, and pretty much replace everything inside with something better, keeping the outside looking like an old chevette. if I had the money of course. like if you would want to make a cool seleeper out of an average, normal car too. 1983-Chevrolet-Chevette-2 Door-1.JPG :)

Yeah, the problem with all the sleepers is that you're basically putting a new car in an old frame. Ford had to limit the twin turbo v6 in the taurus because it wore the drivetrain. 2010_Ford_Taurus_SHO_EcoBoost_Power-Curve.jpg

If I really wanted to push 500lb-ft I'd need to grab most of a f250 superduty and I'm not even sure what I would replace the PTU with.

One guy made a 1000hp minivan.

It's a stupid looking car but at least watch at 2:40.

    I want one

Who the hell would finance a P71, pretty stupid decision in my opinion. When I owned one I would never do anything but pay cash for one, no way in hell would I make payments on something that isn't new and I know isn't going to probably last that long.

It isn't THAT old. It's one year newer than my car. 2005. Gotta start building credit some how.

I laughed when I saw these were the new cop cars. 4400 pounds is a lot to get around a corner.
