    ...

How many FPS you were getting before?
    How many now?

Load ECA and point the camera to the town (simply rotate it with the mouse)
Go to options > gameplay > enable 'Advanced Mode'
In the sidemenu there should be a new button named 'PERFORMANCE'
Press it and let the graphs fill the screen.
Press ALT+O and paste the link for the image here.

Please note that 0.5.3 added more details to ECA, which may be the cause of these FPS issues.
We are currently working on that.

Hah you're lucky. Mine crashes when I go onto east coast. It says it died because of it exceeding memory limits... Maybe because of my computer, but I have a 64 bit OS. It says "A 64 bit OS is recommended." .... o_O So I can't play that map (one of my favs) but I can run it when I run the 32 bit .exe. (then I don't have Steam) It did not do this before--is it because of the massive texture and objects overhaul?

The game is already running in 32bit if you get the '64bit OS recommended' message.
    What OS do you have?

Service pack 1 is required for beamng to run in 64 bit on windows 7 as noted in the game requirements.
Also zero reason to not install that anyway

Oh.... This just in: When I opened Beamng to snip that, East Coast started working... But the same problem happens to other maps such as Altitude ( http://www.beamng.com/resources/altitude.251/ )

    Then your problem is another.
Try to search for LavasoftTcpService64.dll located in System32. If you find it, delete it. It's not a Windows file, but something that a program from Lavasoft, very well known to cause a lot of issues with other programs installs on your PC. You are safer not to have that thing at all in your pc.
