Here are a few things that are not exactly bugs, but things that seem wrong to me. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I didn't see a obvious better place for this.
    • When the car is put into park (Real Automatic), the brake lights come on. This doesn't happen in real life.
    • When braking in a car with ABS, the system is activated by the slightest brake. In real life, ABS only comes on when a wheel starts to slip.
    • When in a car with paddle shifters, while in real automatic, you should be able to shift with out having it in the manual mode. For example, a Golf R with a DSG, you can just shift when you want and after a little bit, it starts to shift on its own again.
    • When a real car uses the same tail light for a turn signal and brake light, the turn signal takes precedence over the brake light. They should not both be active at the same time.
These are just some of the things that seem wrong with the game.

The first one is because a parking pawl (locks up transmission to park the car) isn't simulated yet so brakes are a temporary measure, but as for the rest, they seem to be bugs/oversights

About the second one, are you using a keyboard?

With keyboards the brakes gradually go on but not instantly. Or that's how it should be.

The way your wheel is set you may have It set so that the brake goes full when the brake is pressed
I think the game uses a fall back setting if you don't provide information about the wheel
with a controller it seems ok?
add the ui app for throttle brake ect. pressure (forgot the name of it) and see if the brake pressure is full or not

One thing I noticed is that if you have DCT on and you don't shift, the car will just rev. But on my car like my grandma's Camry, if you have it in DCT mode and you don't shift within 2 (maybe 3) seconds of it redlining, the computer will shift for you. IDK maybe it's just Toyota or something,

I tried all of the braking app things and it recognizes how hard I press the pedal. How soon does the ABS system activate for you?

ABS feels like it comes on too quickly and isn't effective at shortening stopping distances.

XBox 360 pad, will come on even if trigger is depressed ~10%.

Also, if you have a turn signal on, then toggle the hazards, the turn signal cancels. No car that I know of does this.

Right now at least, the hazards in game just turn on/off both turn signals.

I noticed the thing with ABS as well, a gentle press on the brake makes ABS go crazy, and it makes stopping distance much longer.
