I found out that most Windows updates still work when you ignore the "We couldn't complete the updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer." text and turn off your computer. Four out of the five updates I just tried seemed to have successfully installed (the one that didn't work was probably being installed just before I received that message): Two months prior, I also got a "KB2919355" (April 2014 Windows NT Update) to finally work using this method.
It didn't get me, since I'm on the discord, and a dev always posts there when an update is out. Since no one said it I just went "Alright, must be april fools joke then"

Said it before and I'll say it again, the fuck is the point of doing an online programming tutorial if you just have someone else pass everything for you and don't learn shit. If you can't solve that, you can't fucking Java and you should use a dynamic typed language like Python. Seriously, data types are literally programming 101.
