We have all seen the Toyota Prius trying to fit in to the crowd. We've all watched the ad that Toyota released on Youtube. If you haven't seen it check it out. In this thread we are only going to talk about the 2016 Toyota Prius. Talk about if you like it or not. Oh. Here is a picture of it. Sidenote here: For people scrolling through this, I acted kinda too defensive. And I don't act like this now so... yeah.
Toyota is trying to make it look too "futuristic". I think it looks weird and ugly. The prius prime looks a little better though.
It has more curves and edges than even a hypercar should, it's small, oddly proportioned, has a wing even though its front wheel drive(imo just being front wheel drive is enough reason to hate it), it's a hybrid, looks way worse than even older priuses(I honestly didn't think the early ones look that bad they were still ugly though), it's overpriced, it's Japanese, I don't know much more about it but if I did I'd probably just hate it more because it probably has most of the things I hate in newer cars. It also looks a lot more distinctive than the old Priuses so everyone will instantly know that you drive a prius...
Gross. Do not like. the Murano looks similar, in the sense that it's just a fustercluck of hard edges, incongruous body lines, and LED strips. Car companies need to re-learn the modesty the had in the eighties and nineties, where this stuff was unacceptably tacky.
Personaly I don't see the point in hybrids for less money i can own a late 90s hatchback and get still get good mileage. or diesel cars
Toyota listen hybrids doesnt have to bee ugly and ....why did you make the new one even uglier........
It is kind of an insult that the prius is outrunning vics in the ad tho.... I like how they try to market the new prius by saying in the ad "wow. its actually pretty fast". the 0-60 time for a 2016 prius...10 seconds with a top speed of 110. lol
So that everyone sees your car and instantly gives you the respect you deserve for driving such an amazing car... possibly, but with the difference in price you would still end up saving more money if you just got a cheap used car even if it only gets 15 or 20 mpg.
