Couldn't find anyone else with a similar question so it's probably just me overlooking it. I know how to place flora with the forest tool but that's not what I'm referring to.

On the editor, I noticed that when placing grass material on a surface on Small Island, grass meshes automatically appear with the placement of material, and when you change the material, it automatically removes the grass meshes.

Upon making a custom map, I set up the material, but I can't seem to find anything to automatically place flora (specifically, those tiny blades of grass) with the material. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since no one can provide useful input on this issue I'm having, I'm happy to say I've resolved the issue myself.

After approximately 6 hours of frustratingly screaming at the editor I figured it out.. Just in case anyone is curious, you can go to object mode, open level tab, and go to environment. Select ground cover, place it. Make sure your art assets are imported into your level. Open up Ground Cover, set Material to BNGG_Grass, set radius to about 90, disolve to about 70, grid size 8, max elements anything. I chose 60,000. Then comes the tricky part. Go down to the little tiny part of the details that says "Types" and press +. Open 0, and you set the material you want this groundcover to appear on. You can set min/max sizes, looks like 0.2 to 1.0 are the most realistic size ranges.
