Barstow overheats with 423 v8 stage 2 supercharger

    the Barstow overheats with the 423 v8 stage 2 supercharger and has the high performance radiator installed, the engine overheated in 10 seconds.

    I think that's because it's only made to drive a 1/4 mile at a time...

    They have a drag radiator i believe, that makes it last longer.

    Our current drag cars are supposed to overheat when going full throttle for more than just a couple of seconds. :)

    For me all the Barstows engines overheat quickly.

    Not entirely unrealistic, as old muscle cars often had pitifully small radiators, and very inefficient mechanical fans for the size of their engines. Your driving style may factor into it as well as I find the engine quite good at cooling itself for a period car, even during heated racing the car takes a lot of low speed high rpm situations to overheat. As for the drag car overheating that is normal, a neighbor of mine runs a dragster and he has to let it cool between drags as at the end of his 1/4 mile the car is running close to its heat limits.

    Well, you can always modify the specs of the radiator and make it perform to the point where its almost impossible to overheat.
