    i would like to see the process of making a high quality, good looking map. I was trying to make one. It's a remake of this real place called Mt. Nebo, Arkansas.

    Development was going really well until a sudden crash on load problem arose. I am unable to figure out why it is crashing for about 3 months to no avail. I really need help with getting my map working again.

    I think the process is very likely to vary greatly from person to person, or from map to map. For instance, since you're making a real-world location, the first step would likely involve finding some relevant DEM terrain data and some OSM roads and buildings. For a map like East Coast USA, you'd need to start by drawing out the map and determining what you want to do within it (since it's purely your creation). And some maps can even preclude needing a terrain block at all until late in the process.

    Not to say that a straight answer isn't possible, but unless you're interested in buying a copy of World Machine, you probably won't want to follow in Hutch's exact footsteps.

    My Mt. Nebo map has a heightmap from terrain.party. I did some calulations and made the terrain in BeamNG accurate to the scale of the real place. Right now it has roads and some buildings and trees. For some reason after that the map just doesn't want to load anymore. It crashes every time I load it. I didn't do anything to it. I did some suggestion by NadeoX1 saying that some things were named incorrectly. I renamed what he said to rename and it just made the problem worse. Now for some reason in-game two of the icons for my map appear. One of them is the crashing map, and the other one is the stock East Coast USA without trees or vegitation.

    I would also like to see better crash reports that tell you exactly what is causing the crash instead of spitting out all of this stuff about your game options, pc specs, and all of that stuff.

    Thank you so much for doing this! I know how to make car models, but I haven't the foggiest on how to do J-beam stuff :p

    Can I be here for migrating stuff too? So migrating a car mod from Rigs of Rods to BeamNG (Not a car Gabe has made since I know he doesn't want those cars to return to BeamNG)

    It's more a 'Making a mod? Got questions? Ask us'.
    It's not a complete course on modding, you should already have some knowledge about it as requirement.

    You do write your question and we reply to it.
    If you have problems or questions about modding (which are reasoable, this isn't not going to be 'How to mod from zero' Q&A) , you ask them.

    But I do have some knowledge with modding. The only problem is the JBeam, and I never migrated an car from Rigs of Rods to BeamNG (Not a car that Gabe doesn't want) but a mod. So is it a good reason or ask on the Q&A??

    We will try to give the best answers & help, but it will help us to have specific questions about the problems encountered during contents creation :)

    About tutorials we write some new atm, they will be presented soon !

    This will be a first for us too, so we can not yet predict how it will happen :)

    I'm afraid you have not seen the answer I made just above, on April 16 we will respond best to questions that you ask, but could not explain in a few words how to do things which require a lot of time and knowledge. However, tutorials and wiki pages exist and will be updated for these subjects.

    I doubt they will be able to tell you how to do that. Since that is usually somewhat illegal.

    What is going to be the protocol for if we want to send you a mod but don't want to turn it into a public beta version for the unwashed masses?
