Is there a way to stop cars catching fire ?

Hi all, was wonder if there is a way to stop cars catching fire ? it seems every time i crash there is just flames everywhere and i preferred when it was not like that , For the past couple of months i was just taking the petrol tanks out of cars but now its been fixed so car wont run without it witch = MORE flames
Any help much appreciated !!

 

Well, you can ruin fire and make it never show up again. If you delete fire.lua from user/programfiles/beamng.drive then yhou won't have any fire anymore. I hope that this helps.

That's the problem with deleting game files. They may break the game.

 

Hmm... if you open it and change some things like the heat to burn and explode, that doesnt break anything.

 

You could also try just not crashing hard... no removal of game files for that!

 

Well, you know that app called Vehicle Debug? Well, if you click extinguish node, then it goes away. I am pretty sure it works.

yes it works but i dont want any fire to have to extinguish because as it normally only puts it out for a few seconds
