Using the system of global j beams, i think it would be neat to be able to have different engines in different cars, like a Stage 3 Moonhawk v8 in a Burnside. I think it would be cool to experiment with.

Idea isnt bad, the context is stupid.

Swapping engines doesnt work as easily as 1.2.3 BAM, done.

Size is one of those issues. You simply cant put any engine in any car. There are limits as to what you can do.

More engine variants for sure, but keep that in mind.

Someone had attempted this idea a little while back on a few cars, though they weren't exactly full on engine swaps, it was more or less just a Jbeam file, but it allowed say, a D-15 run the Civetta's 3.9L V8 with the Sunburst's 6 speed transmission. But it wasn't perfect, since like I said, it basically just added in all the other engines from other cars into a few cars he managed to do. One of the main problems it had was that some transmissions didn't work with some engines, and you had to do trial and error to make it work. The mod doesn't work now so I wouldn't bother go looking for it.

But overall I kinda like the idea, though like others have said, size issues and you'd have to put significant modding to make it look the real deal, like that outdated mid engined Covet mod.

that mod was torque curves only.
on my hard disk I have 2 proper engine swap mods, 1 complete which is actually flat four twin turbo into pessima and very very fun, the other less so right now. Both are meshed and all

Actually that would be great, maybe a whole different section for the different engines? We still need to find the stock engines that come with the vehicles.
