    I still haven't memorized the roads on JRI and it's been out for a while.

    If the next map is bigger I have no idea how I'll navigate, but I do love a challenge.

    Even though it's probably six months away, it's great to have another new map announced so soon after Utah. It looks amazing! I'm also super excited that it's four times the size. Now we need more European cars :)

    Now I am confused. Someone said that there can't be big maps because T3D can't handle it or something. And now we have this map which is the fifth of the size of GTA V (if I did the calculations correctly)
    and how will this affect the fps?

    The big thing holding back large maps was the z-fighting issue that caused flickering the further you went from the 0,0,0 position. Essentially 2km was about the limit of what you could create before the issue became extremely distracting. Now that's fixed there are about 3 main obstacles remaining for large maps:
    • Performance and memory - obviously with a larger map you have more stuff in it, bigger maps will require some creativity to ensure performance is the same
    • Heightmap - a single heightmap maxes out at about 4k for beamng, this is essentially the biggest you can create at the moment
    • Manpower - this is the big one, making a 4km map is four times as much area and in theory four times as much work - this is why I'd suggest people starting out with mapping to begin with very small simple maps rather than trying to tackle something huge
    It should be possible to do for Italy, I mean we're still in the very early stages of testing and design but so far it looks promising.

    Today would be weird. but if that's already changed they might be preparing something. i wonder if they'll add patch notes to the devblog soon too.

    EDIT : can't find that thread. did they delete it?

    Also Italy is now listed on Wiki. AAAnd 0.5.4 Bug thread on Steam is closed, i think we get something new today...

    I would say IF then tomorow.. becuase they would not pulbish stuff like at night.. I mean the HQ is in Bremen, Germany..

    Also, BeamNG is 20% less on Steam, so there COULD be an update. Many developers even make their game free to play for some days...

    @NinetyNine! The update with the Barstow was released around 2am at Saturday IIRC
