Wheel mesh change?

Hi all, first time poster here. I'll get right to the point. The old D15 with the big triple axle logging trailer for it to tow is one of my favorite mods of all time, i even like it more than the T series semi trailer mods. Miraculously, its not completely broken in the current version and i am still able to use it. I do have 2 problems though: one is that the wheels on the trailer are just big yellow circles, and the other is that the speedomeer doesn't work for it anymore. i'm not super concerned about the speedo, its an old mod and i have no idea how to fix that. But i was wondering if it is possible to go into the mod file and change what wheels the trailer uses so that they look normal? and if it is, where would i do that? (and no the trailer heels dont have any options to change in game.) Thanks for any help in advance!
