As some of you may know, there's an option to render the game in side by side. (go to the editor and then press f10, click on PlayGui on the right side and select the renderstyle)
That can be used to use cross-eye 3d or some other magic.

There is the problem with the car's extra shadowing (?) because it's not correctly rendered. It's just a small thing, would nice to work correctly since I love to inspect my damaged vehicle in 3d. :p ERTA6dl.jpg

I just checked and deactivated the PostFX System. (The game crashed twice while trying to do that)
It's gone now, but of course I would love to keep it activated, so that's that. ^^

thank you very much!!! I can finaly enjoy the perfect intirior of the Civetta Bolide and the great new maps!!!!!

a question: is there a way to change the focus? so more "3d" or less "3d" (definently more 3d for me) I don't know exactly how to say it, i wish you understand what I am talking about.

Sorry for the late response, I understand what you mean and I'll look into that.
Surely it's documented about somewhere in the wiki of the rendering engine.

I was on vacation and wasn't very connected to the internet. ^^

If you are using an Nvidia graphics card you should be able to make the game 3d from within your nvidia control panel. You can use red/blue glasses for this meaning you don't need an expensive screen etc. It works really well, the only problem i have had is fraps wont record when BeamNG is in 3d.

Im not sure if AMD gives the same options or not.

Oh god, I should have turned on e-mail notifications on this thread, I tend to forget stuff sometimes. ^^

Well, it's nice for Nividea having such option, but I didn't find any similair options with my AMD catalyst driver.

I googled for a bit of time and can't seem to find any sorts of documentation on the side by side rendering, if there are some they are results connected with the octulust rift though. (I didn't look if there already was some way to use it in beamNG (I think there probably is, but I don't own one))

Searching the options didn't help me a lot sadly, I guess you've tried that already too.

Maybe I'm missing something, maybe there is something way deeper in the source code.

I'll keep looking into it tough! :)

There is Rift support, but it is turned off because it had issues. I doubt it is very high up on the developers priorities either, although i would love to see it get re enabled soon. Only main reason is it would be cool to watch some people freak out on youtube during a crash :p

It really irritates me that fraps wont work with BeamNG in 3d because i was really wanting to make a video of that, the fps stays pretty good too and there are no issues with the 3d itself.

How did you get it to work with the Nividia graphics card where would you go to change it to make it 3d ? Looking and can't seem to find it on the GeForce settings

    nice bump m8.

also if your gpu supports it, right click desktop>nvidia control panel>look at left menu, should say stereoscopic 3d or something. i think thats what he is talking about.

I created a thread also that refers to this one too.

    http://www.beamng.com/threads/beamng-drive-trinusvr-3d-stereoscopical-view-1st-test.24145/

the problem is that when you set the SBS view on beamng it just duplicates the same view on 2 quadrants.. it is not stereoscopic view because is the same image.

in order to have the stereoscopic view I think is necessary to have 2 camera from the same point of view or some kind of software that can simulate it.

Unfortunately the Nvidia settings don't allow to set the stereoscopic view via SBS technology proper for cardboards device or similar supports for smartphone.

Currently this kind of technology allows you to see the 360° 3D environment using the movement of your head through the gyroscopic sensors of your smartphone which good for now.

As mentioned in my thread I'll do other tests with different software that can simulate the 3D stereoscopic view without buying expensive devices like HTC or Oculus that could became old after 2 years..

From my point of view is not clever to waste money to have a device that you have already on your pocket..

Does the game still natively support side by side 3D? I use an AMD card, with no good way to get "any" game in 3D. If theres a way I can turn on the 3D in game that would be awesome.
