    Hello all.
Playing any game on steam such as Beamng drive or Spintires I have no sound in full screen mode through the TV via HDMI. Windowed mode works tho. I've set Tv to default sound and all the drivers are up to date. I have sound everywhere else but the the games in full screen. Just on the laptop without the HDMI cord full screen works.

Any ideas on how to fix sound on full screen?

Check your audio settings in both BeamNG and Windows. What is the source?

So sound only works in windowed mode? And if that is true, when in windowed mode, it comes through your tv or sound system?

When in windowed mode the sound plays through my TV via HDMI. No problem.

If I'm thinking of the right spot.
In game menu, settings and then audio. Audio says my tv. Something like tv monitor, TV input yada yada.
I'm not home at the min that's why I don't know for sure.

Doing this for me I just have to have the video settings set to the TV in-game, and also in-game I set the audio source to the TV.

Thanks for the reply. How do I find that out? Sound works for everything else except for FS. Let me know where to look and I'll get back.

Check the volume control in the taskbar, and right click it. Click "Playback Devices". Those are all your audio devices, you can right click one and hit "set as default" if you want the sound to come from it. Depending on your driver, you might have to restart a program using sound or even your computer.

Do you have a microphone or something similar attached to your computer? That might also be a playback device and a recording device if you have one. My Blue Yeti has a headphone output on it, so it's both a recording device (the mic itself) and a playback device (the headphone output).

    If you're on Windows 10:

    1. Right-click the volume icon.

    2. Click 'Playback Devices'.

    3. Look for the device with a upload_2016-5-6_16-17-26.png on the icon for it. That is your default playback device.

    Thanks for the replys.
The computer does have a mic but in playback devices it's only laptop speakers and LCD TV. The tv is the checked one and is set to default. I've tried disabling the laptop ones I tried everything and still only sound on windowed screen.

Yes tried it. I've restarted the laptop with the HDMI in, I've disable laptop speakers, I've tried to use in game drop down audio options and that does nothing. By the way, I use Steam. I have 2 games on steam and both do this. Could it be steam?
