Well, he is British, and you know all British cops are massive squares. There are cops in America that will let out-and-out street racers go if they're clearly endangering no one but themselves, but the cops in England will hunt you down and haul you in months later.
130 is personal best on public roads. Never been pulled for speeding, never been caught on a camera either Only ticket I've ever been issued was a simple carpark ticket expiry and related fine.
Took the Ranger out off-roading, well, as much as can be done in a 2WD truck. Had to push my friends Vic out AGAIN.
My top speed is 95, not even 100.. But then again, I've done barely any highway driving alone. My record on a single lane back road is 85. Can't wait to get my Volvo.. It's beautiful..
tfw your car tops out at 160. Photo was taken by a passenger while on unrestricted roads up in the northern territory, obviously Redline at 4th is 160, shift to 5th, foot to the floor, nothing happens. Ugh.
What car is this? My Sunbird has a chip limiter at 100 MPH (it beeps when you hit the limiter), so there might be some kind of drivetrain-protection limiter at work.
My MX5, which is a JDM Eunos import. I believe they were electronically limited to 180km/h. My mate's ADM MX5 comfortably hits over 200km/h, so I'll install his ECU when he gets his Megasquirt and see what happens.
How does the steering just "go limp"? Did it work after the collision? The fact that you ended up a few feet away from the guardrail, but still on the shoulder, tells me that you still had control of the truck after you hit the rail. Either way, still sucks. My condolences. edit: No answer? No explanation to offer? No proof? Is it ok if I just assume you were being stupid and caused it all yourself?
Replaced a battery terminal in the Ranger today. I was at the car wash after some light off-roading and the super corroded negative terminal finally stopped making contact. My friends had to push me back off the road. It had before but it took me 25mins of fiddling with it to get it to make enough of a connection. It's done it before but never this long. $4 and about 30 mins later and I swear my lights are brighter. My battery gauge also is just above half way now. Used to sit just below half.
I sold the vic today. I picked this baby up for $2600. Only 64k original miles. It has the 390 big block, 3 speed auto, and a beautiful rumble at idle, even through the stock single exhaust, which will soon be changed to true duals. 1970 mercury monterey sedan.
You're right, I forgot about the signature. Tbh i was really lucky with this. I bought it off some young guy who thought it wasnt worth anything because age etc. It is currently not driveable (legally) yet becasue the wiring for the brake lights and blinkers are either shorted or have a bad ground. It should be legal by next week though.
