Crash if i spawn multiple cars. Is it BeamNG, or my PC ?

Hi there , i was trying to make a video involving multiple cars. Many , cars. I tried it on the map with that highway in the midle of the ocean , so i can have better fps. I crashed before on matrix freeway so i wanted to try here again. I spawned 17 cars , the 18th i tried to spawn was in mid air ? i got a fixed camera in mid air. and when i tried to spawn another one , crashed.
Next thing i did is started the game again , chosed the pure small grid map, disabled ALL my mods , and started spawning. After the 17th car , the 18th one showed me a fixed camera in mid air, and that's all. The next spawn was a crash, just like the previous try, with mods. So , mods aren't the issue here.
    My config is an i7 4770k Oc'ed at 4ghz, r9 290x oc edition( 4gb ) , 8 gigs of ram at 2400 mhz
My worry is that is always , but always crashes after the 17th car.
Also , the ram is not an issue as the game dosen't even eat 2gigs of ram at 17 cars spawned, but the CPU is at 100 %after the 10th car in realtime , if i use x2 slowmotion , drops a bit , on the 17th car spawned i use x4 slowmotion so i can still have 60 fps , and the cpu is at only 60%. The GPU ussage is always at 100% , no matter how many cars i spawn

This also happened to me when i only spawned reliant robins. Crashed after the 17th car.

Could it run out of virtual memory ?

    I can relate.
With that big amount of vehicles, you are pushing things to the limit.
I think it would be the something related to the GFX rather than the Physics, as cars are very expensive to render, I wouldn't be surprised if you ran out of VRAM or something having 17 of them onscree.

Insanegaz even has this problem and his specs are mindblowing. When he does his stressed out videos where he spawns heaps of cars he opens it in 64 bit mode and spawns as many as he can. When it crashes he then opens it in 32 bit mode so that he can do what he does (safely) without it crashing. Hope this helps.

that's a lot of cars, the physics engine can't handle that.

Okay , so i tried to run it in 32 bit mode and i was able to spawn 20 cars. Spawned the 21st one , but then got an error saying i excedeed my virtual memory , and i should use a 64 bit operating mode.
Ran it in 64 bit mode , spawned 18 cars , then crashes , and by crashed i mean " beamng has stopped working". Atleast last time i got an error saying what was the problem , this time not , and i'm running 64 bit mode.
Also , when i ran the 64 bit mode , ingame performance tab said i was using 3.2 gigs of virtual memory with 17 spawned cars + 600 mb on the desktop = 3.9 gigs of virtual memory out of 4 , so apparently the virtual memory is the issue here. 32 bit mode alows me to spawn 3 more cars because it uses less vram i guess.
    Thanks for the tips.

Yes , he can spawn up to 40 cars because his titan x has 8gb of vram , twice as me , and i can spawn 20 cars in 32 bit mode.

It's vram i want , not system ram. When i got 17 cars spawned , the game dosen't even eat 2 gigs of ram in the task manager. Both Beamng.exe and beamng UI. Watch the virt. memory go up as you spawn cars , in the performance menu
The ram goes up aswell , but too litle

VRAM is not virtual RAM. VRAM is Video RAM.
Virtual RAM is using your hard drive space as RAM.

virtual ram only goes up when you max out system ram.

vram is video ram not virtual ram and entirely unrelated

It might be about that time that 8 gigs of ram isn't enough. Hit man on max uses every single bit of that 8 gigs. I'll be looking for a cheap 16 gig ddr3 set. The only game to ever claim to use all 4 gigs of vram on my card is gta5. The rest don't tell you. Hit man runs super smooth for 3 to 5 seconds than stutters and smoothes and stutters.

I know what you mean , but i have two monitors ,so while i play on one , i can monitor the ram usage on the other. right before the crash , and beamng.exe + beamng.ui barelly consume 2 gb of ram. My other background programs+windows consumes 2.5 , so i have plenty of ram left. May this still be the issue?
Also , if i use the 32 bit exe , i can spawn untill i get an error saying i ran out of virtual memory.
    I will soon upgrade 16gb , so we'll see :)

if you are not using all of your ram and its telling you the virtual memory thing, one of the programmers here will have a better idea than i do. @BlueScreen ?

I have 16 gigs of ram, I did the benchmark test and it said that I could spawn 9 cars, but for some reason when I try to spawn a 3rd car, it crashes the game. I tried clearing the cache, tried to run the game with all the mods disabled and the game still crashed. I've tried the to run the x64 version and still have this problem. Now the only thing left for me to do to solve this issue is to reinstall the game
(If I've said anything wrong above, feel free to correct me)

    Check mods.
Some of them, like 'Spaced Out' or 'D-up' were causing these problems to some users.
Removing the mod and manually deleting any 'non .pc' file located in Documents/BeamNG.Drive/vehicles is required.

I tried it and it works just like new, now I'm installing all my mods again, I'm doing this because i believe that the game just randomly got this problem. Deleted all the shady looking mods and now i only have those which have brilliant review, no one in the comments of these says that they caused the game to crash when they spawn a certain number of cars
IT HAS WORKED. BEAMNG LOVES ME ONCE MORE
