Hello iv noticed when im driving the car the fuel var never goes down it could be a bug or there is no function to use fule in the game yet
Fuel consumption is in game, has been for a while. Most cars are fuel efficient enough that you won't notice fuel level drops until you have driven for a while. If you want to see a car run out of gas, use a drag car, they are gas guzzlers.
@James Smith is right. but if you really want to see it change, grab a dragster, and watch the fuel go down as you drive around.
Yeah, many cars in real life can go 500km+ on a tank of fuel so it's very unlikely to be a consideration on 4^2km maps, especially in a game where you're likely to crash before driving long distances. You should see the needle drop after about 15-20 minutes.
I think the problem isn't that there wouldn't be fuel consumption on your end, but your driving style might not make a car survive long enough for enough fuel to actually be used..
... Can I ask how old are you? Btw fuel is used right now, and was used for a long time ago too. Watch this almost 2 years old vid. ugh...
Fuel can run out only when we are moving. Full throttle on neutral gear and nothing happens. Same with thermal simulation.
The thermals part is not correct. Engine will heat up if you rev, even in neutral. The part on the fuel is correct, it doesn't seem to have any effect if you rev in neutral. Forwarded to the team. Edit: It's a problem with the 'COMPUTER TRIP' app. Fuel actually gets used when in neutral. The app will be fixed soon.
You can manually make your car run out of fuel. Press the lua button (this: ~ ) on the bottom left, it should say Beam lua, or something like that, and change it to vehicle lua, then type: drivetrain.fuel= Then type whatever number of fuel you want. (0.1 if you want the car to run out of gas the fastest.)
Cars run out of fuel pretty realistically for me. I never actually drive until all the fuel is gone, but I do notice the fuel bar lower when driving.
