Minecraft has a single player mode. That's most of my MC gameplay, with a bit of play on a friend's server. As for Rust, if you play on unofficial servers (preferably a friend's, @Dummiesman really ought to get his back up), you probably won't have issues with server wipes, or assholes destroying stuff (still can be a problem though, depending on the server).

I was using Minecraft (and DayZ) as an example of those games done correctly, in my opinion of course.
Though I think, personally, it just boils down to me being bored with that genre and I mentioned Rust cause it was the last game I played like that.
I completely understand why others enjoy it.

NASCAR Thunder 2004. Console versions are still the best all time, PC version is literally rFactor with hackjob stock cars and tracks.
