I have already looked all over Steam, BeamNG, and Logitech forums. I have a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. I am trying to use the wheel in the game but it won't work. The game shows that the wheel is detected under Controls>Hardware. I can turn the wheel and press the pedals and it shows that it's registering my movements. I've tried restarting the computer with and without the USB plugged in. I've tried unplugging unnecessary USB connections. I looked under the Device Manager>Human Interface Devices; everything appears to be there. Anyone have any ideas.

I forgot to mention that about a week ago I plugged the wheel in and the game instantly figured it out. The buttons even already had useful controls, such as vehicle reset. But for some reason, it isn't doing that anymore.

Please refrain from mentioning you have the same problem. Keep it to possible solutions only.

you need to assign the controls. User error not game error

I forgot to mention something, take another look. If you don't have an answer, please don't say anything. I'm not being rude, I just want to keep the clutter down.

Judging from the screenshot, I can see that the wheel is not recognized correctly:
    - It should read "Logitech Driving Force GT USB", with vidpid 0xc29a046d.
    - But it is reading "Driving Force GT", with vidpid 0xc294046d instead.

You don't explain what exactly the problem is, but I am guessing that you get no bindings at all in the Controls > Bindings menu, am I right?

I have heard quite a few complaints like this in the past few weeks, I have no idea where it comes from. Even my G27 has once been recognized as a generic "Driving Force GT" too. This happens regardless of which game you later try; it must be a problem in either Windows, or Logitech drivers, or DirectInput, or wheel's firmware, or somewhere in between, but I have no idea why it's starting to happen more often now.

Some of the following solutions have worked for some users:
    - Switching to a different USB port. One guy had problems in ALL but one of the USB ports in his computer, so make sure you try them all.
    - Completely uninstall Logitech drivers. Reboot. Install latest stable drivers. Reboot.
    - Reboot the computer. Up to several times. o_O
    - Throw computer out the window and reboot (just kidding, please don't do that, never reboot after having thrown a computer out the window).
