Yeah, I'm just so used to calling them point of service machines, it's a habit.

I'd say that's pretty good considering.

Welp, was dusting the insides of my computer with canned air (have to do this regularly, very dusty room), and my arm slipped, so I accidentally blew into the dust filter. Yeah...

I'd actually recommend the 6600K if you aren't going to be doing anything other than gaming. However, for video production and similar workloads, you will want the 6700K, or wait. As for GPU, I would wait for AMD to come out with Polaris before making a decision.

Yeah. Unless you need a system on very short notice, patience is good. This year is a big year hardware-wise.

I need a new destkop to write 720k floppys on. i just spent 10 minutes trouble shooting the current one. its a windows 2000 HP. has 1gb of ram and a p4. works really nice when it decides to run. Has usb as well. Problem is it throws random ram errors or sometimes no beep codes at all. I dont have any spare ram for it either, as its the ram type that requires blanks in any empty slots. lucky me all mine are filled with non blanks.

don't really see why you wouldn't, $14 vs the cost of a new pc just for writing floppy disks? i don't know about you but to me that seems like a very easy choice

also, this is the internet, EVERYTHING EXISTS

seriously though, chances are unless it's some super rare type thing you can probably find it on the internet somewhere

Yea, but if you buy a whole PC, you have a fancy new toy to play with, and that's fun.

Anyone know of SATA to PATA adapters? The ones that I had looked up online seemed very fishy. Im looking to retrieve old photos and files from a old seagate hard drive.
