Hmmmmm... Can you do like a W-9 motor?
(Hi, I'm the guy who suggests all kinds of stuff from all kinds of modders but can't even do anything like it himself.)

Never. And that's why I'd like one. I mean, there are engines with 5 cylinders, inlines as well as a VR6 with a cylinder less, there's a W6 iirc, there are W12s.... So why not a W9? I think it'd kinda fit ETK, actually.

A W9 would just sound and feel..... uneven, if anything a W8 would be more logical, but that'd be rather ambitious considering engine size and well, the engine bay size.

Why would it feel uneven? Just because of the odd number?

Afaik W6 doesn't exist. And W9 wouldn't make any sense. Odd numbers work better with inline engines (VR5 is basically inline)

Inline engines play to an exception with odd numbered cylinders, an actual V shaped engine or even a flat engine like a flat 4-6, you'll have one extra cylinder on the "outside" of the other cylinders and that could cause uneven balance, even with counterweights, it just wouldn't work. Like @machine said, VR5 or VR6 engines are possible because it's a really narrow "V" that it really is just an inline engine.

W9 exists but not automotively. Its 3 banks of 3 cylinders.

this is great, but when you goose it with the assists turned off it can change from driving the car to wrestling with it :p;)

Here is a W9, and there is no cylinder"outside", since there are 3 cylinders on 3 banks.
I'd love to know how it sounds;)

Edit: found something (yeah it doesn't give 500hp, but it's something...)

I was mostly referring to V or flat engines, since I did look up the W9, but none any for cars.

Yeah, there were some cars with three-bank engines, the last one in 1991. The Formula 1 had some, but not many.
No idea why there are so few of them. All I know is we pretty much just talked of different things. :)

The engine bay "crap" like the battery, overflow tanks, and tubing are set up in bodies jbeam and can't be moved around, removed, or changed. So the they only way I can make it so there isn't major clipping is make a second body for it and change the 3d model and insert into the new bodies jbeam.

It is found in the common.zip located: \steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles\common.zip

That's pretty inefficient. I think @gabester is a good whipping boy in this situation.
