AFV - Armoured Fighting Vehicle actually. The vehicle above (which looks alot like a stryker to me) is an offensive vehicle not a personnel carrier (although there is an APC variant)
True, though many models of APCs and AFVs often share the same base chassis. I would rather model an APC, if the goal is getting it ingame, as dealing with the JBeam for a turret which would end up only being for show would likely not be worth the effort to the modder.
I don't think it is even possible to see actual damage on a tank without crashing it in unrealistic situations. So no. Unless explosions will be featured in Drive.
Well, I love explosions! Imagine driving along, Then hitting something. (imported from here) I love it!
Could even obliterate the god damned T75 with it. The no doubt drowsy will make it his aim to make a vehicle capable of obliterating the tank :/
Though they're much more durable than your average car, a tank/APC/AFV is still far from immune from damage. And as others have said, it would be a great vehicle for crushing other, less titanic machines.Speaking of which, does anyone have a blueprint/vector drawing of a modern APC for a potential model?Ideally I'd like one for either an Otokar ARMA (8X8 version) or a German/Dutch Boxer, though any other modern design would be great, seeing as blueprints for such vehicles are fairly hard to come by.
Thanks for all you reply's and opinions keep them coming. By the way I asked drowsy Sam and he said he may start work on one soon
That's generally the course that I take with my modeling, however when I start a model it is extremely helpful to have a properly scaled reference blueprint to ensure proportionality, because I am generally terrible at properly eyeballing large scale proportions from a normal image.
