You can check it out HERE, there aren't many useful things, but it is still under construction! I'm gonna add useful information about PC's generally, there's a blacklist of companies that make power supply units. There are no ads because this is my hobby, and I'm still getting some knowledge about jsquery, html and css... If you have any ideas about what I could add there, please post it here, also post your feedback, so I can know what to focus on! Thanks for your attention.
You can get hosting for <$10/month ... a barebones VPS runs as low as $12. OP: - the page took me a really long time to pull up, and I know it's not my connection. - that black with that yellow ... just too much for my eyes. - the menu mechanics are nice, but the styles within are not. The yellow wrap around the menu items are not good-looking - I haven't seen a view counter on a modern page in years ... - the images in the top toolbar aren't loading for me Some suggestions: - avoid using a static width for the main wrapper. Not everyone has a screen as wide as yours - try different color solutions. yours is attention grabbing, but I think it sets the wrong tone. newegg.com uses yellow as a main color without it being intrusive. Maybe that's because they don't use any #000000 black anywhere. - try integrating the menu into the header. the 'Articles' button isn't obviously at first. - I don't see a reason to have your analytics public like that Don't get discouraged. Keep up the good work! I hope this is helpful.
I use free hosting. Thanks for your tips, I won't forget about them and I will upgrade the site soon I don't know why the images didn't load for and I used the hit counter to see how many people are looking at my page daily, just an experiment. Could you PM me about how to make a dynamic width? I will be grateful for it . And maybe the site took long to load because this is a free hosting and I've experienced that too, even on the ftp, I need to find a better hosting site soon...
If you're serious about your hobby, move away from free hosting. You will be happy you did, as will your site visitors. The images probably just timed out earlier. Now, they're working just fine. About the width: it's actually okay, now that I'm looking at it in a bigger window. My window before was <1000px wide, not big enough for your site. Still, I will send you a couple of dynamic width solutions.
