I don't get all the Toyota hate. They're not exactly showy but they don't break down nearly as much as Dodge, Ford and Chevy do. In that order. Toyota is a solid brand. Practical, boring but solid. When you need a car to work, look no further than Toyota.
Now a car that shouldn't exist, low and behold, a car you've never heard of:
    The Brilliance BS6

Which is anything but brilliant, and by the title name, we're guessing this Chinese car is indeed Bullshit version 6. Please china, for the sake of humanity... no more BMW clones, you're not made of Japanese steel and you never will be.

It is not bad. One of the few American cars Clarkson gave a good review to. He even wanted it sold in the UK, but then realised that an 18-foot car is not the best thing for Britain.

On the other hand, they might be worth their value. Remember that a brand new one was half the price of main rivals and an used one is 1/3 of it. It is worth its price. Cheap, but do not expect much.

So we all know Skoda...we dont see them as especially cool cars(exept for the octavia RS), but they had a decent image of Nice family, luxury oriented or hatchback cars....

But what tha fuck is it with that Skoda Activity concept:

Okay, I like Skoda (especially the Octavia V-RS), but that just has to have been designed while on heroin.

Thats just a concept, a homage to the 110R / Garde / Rapid

Also, it was made by students of Skoda's own industry middle school, to their linking, hence the boomin music and fancy lights.

The same as any other NCAP-crash test: 60kph, so 40mph.

In fairness to them they are about on level with a 2000 Citroen Saxo.

The Saxo ended production in 2003, so in that respect they were only about 4 years behind in terms of safety.

These days they are actually getting there, for example MG (originally British, now state owned by China) got a 3 star rating in 2014 with the MG3.

I would hasten to add that this is a really solid 3 star rated vehicle, its actual crash safety is up there with higher rated vehicles. It actually averaged 70% (69% [adult] & 71% [child]) across crash tests, but it only scored 38% on crash avoidance and 59% in pedestrian impact.
So this is the main reason it got low scores (along side the 59% in pedestrian safety, which is how safe it is to be run over with one):

GM's anti-EV1 Campaign must have been a huge success if we have reached universal hate of the magnificent EV1.
Took us over 15 years just to reach our previous record of 100miles on a single charge... Since it was crushed and murdered into extinction.

I can't believe they actually developed a perfectly fine car just to kill it off and make sure their papers of oil companies won't lose in worth and they can still make money with their badly made fuel suckers. Imagine where we could be today if they would've seen their chance and brought out a new generation with the new batteries.

There actually is a reasoning in what they did. While the oil company theory is a conspiracy, the decision had perfect reasoning. First, they did not build a next generation, because they assumed it would not sell well and extending the low-production phase would be a farce. Second, every carmaker selling cars stateside needs to provide parts for cars until at least 15 years after they go out of production, and mass scrappage was a way around manufacturing parts for a car that sold in a few hundred examples.

So how do the massive campaigns against the law that this car came from fit in there?
Listen, I believe Wikipedia about that, because it's the same GM that bought tons of other companies to suck the money out of them.

Quite often the really clickbaity titled crash test videos show videos of cars that have had the boots filled up or under non standard conditions. So looking for the original source of the crash test would be a good place to go.

pretty sure that one was some apprentices or something goofing around (skoda permitted) and it was never supposed to be a serious car. They threw a few things from the Octavia VRS on there too.
