Hey devs, I know this might be a pain to do but I was hoping you guys could have an official thread thats updated every 2 weeks to inform us of 3 things A: Whats currently being worked on and/or what milestone the team is working towards B: How you guys are doing. Anything cool or new or some interesting articles or something you would like to share with us :3 C: What is planned for the next update and a possible ETA Might take some time to do but we would all really appreciate it and it would be useful as a way to keep us informed and excited so we can continue to pass the word around about the game and get others to throw money at ya'll :3 Thanks for your time and have a nice day!
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please I would love to see this. I didn't read any changelogs for the mini-patches implemented since I didn't know where to find them, there hasn't been a new content patch in a while, and we don't know when patches are incoming. A thread to keep us informed would be quite great.
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please You mean something in this direction? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/content.php/209-KSP-Weekly-August-20-2013 If yes, then I totally agree
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please We have a blog, and yes, we should update it much more often
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please Holy sh#t Matias, I totally dig the way KSP has their stuff set up so yeah, something like that And thanks devs, we totally appreciate it :3
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please The blog hasn't even said anything about the last 2 mini-patches :s I hope you guys can keep us up to date more often, even though we know you're busy with more important things
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please Yeah, even just a really quick note... "This patch helps fix some game crashes and a minor modeling issue on the Gavril". I would really love to know the differences between each patch.
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please ok, just looked at their homepage, they have 18 people working on it, it shows: https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/about.php We are only 4 right now and really loaded with work, so yeah.
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please KSP has alot more people working on it, the game's been out for i think over 2 years, and the main devs even have time to take vacations. That probably explains why they can do stuff like that. Honestly, right now, I'm a little more worried about the development of the game than this. Just my input.
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please Yes, ofcause the KSP team is a tad larger than the BeamNG team. Have you guys considered hiring more people? or maybe find some community members to maintain a weekly/monthly/daily/whateverly update event on the blog. I agree that the game should have a higher priority than the blog, but maybe get the community to help where they can
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please I agree that community members can help the dev team help spread the word of their progress. Although, some firms do it, I don't think BeamNG would have to pay to have someone write blog updates on their behalf. There are a lot of members of this community who put in a lot of time around here, whether its modding, bug chasing or just lurking. I'm sure there's at least one person around who's willing and able to put in that extra time. But, now instead of worrying about blog posts, they would have to keep an extra person in the loop. Everything that they would write in a blog post would have to be written to this person. Granted, they wouldn't necessarily have to worry about proper grammar, formatting and making sure that it's posted on the correct outlet, but the point remains.
Re: Can the devs please make a thread to keep us informed on a bi-weekly basis please I'm completely happy as long as the changelog is complete including mini-updates. These also need a version tag in my opinion. Right now I'm pretty much lost with the history. Everything else is icing, which is fun from time to time. But the cake has to be prioritized. Where else do you put the icing on?
