Ahhh I can't believe my error: ".Jbeam" instead of ".jbeam". Make sure you do not use capital J for the file extension . Finally, back to scripting.
Ugh, now it just crashes. I so need to keep trying, I don't want to keep giving up anymore, I can do this.
Hahaha just wanted mess with your files, sorry I didn't sooner but I am a little overloaded with work atm, but nice to see you fixed it! - - - Updated - - - First thing what I spot is a missing comma (,) after the information block: Code: "information":{ "authors":"Chong McBong, Rand0mPsych0", "name":"Tempo Matador", }, <-- here "refNodes":[ ["ref:", "back:", "left:", "up:"] ["1a", "1b", "1c", "1e"] ],
Code: 35.717921|* error loading mesh vehicles/Tempo Matador/Tempo Matador.DAE 35.730749|BEAMNG| ERR | error creating vertex buffer for mesh Matador_chassis The problem seems to be with your model, not the jbeam definition. Try starting with a cube mesh that matches the definition to get the grasp of the process before using your model. Coordinate system (y/z up) may cause some offsets that you will need to be aware.
I have to say I like making Node/beam skeletons. I could do it all day, it makes my inner physicist very happy. Issue is now I have many projects which come apart nicely but there are no models. I hate modelling, I hate texturing even more.
lol funny you say that i love to model and hate making skeletons , this stuff is insane, got the model done cant seam to get it all working
Thank you nadeox1 for this tutorial. It helped me alot. Anyway I´ve got a weird problem. In Blender my frame is centered und only a few cm of the ground. But ingame my car is way too high in the air. I don´t know what the problem is. I really hope someone is able to figure out the problem driftlegende
I already tried this. It does solve it somehow. But why is the model floating in the air like this? The origin is centered and everything :/
The model should be centered to node 0,0,0. I think your nodes are distant from 0 coordinates, that's why it spawns like that. Just try making a temp node and give 0,0,0 coordinates, and you should see the model center to be the same as that node. I'm not sure tough.
After the first test with 1 node it worked. I deleted the other nodes and created the 0,0,0 node like you suggested. Thank you !
i think im not ever going to get this iv been trying for two hours now but i still dont get how any thing works im trying to build a rock crawler but i just dont get nodes beams or any thing
Do you have more than 3 nodes? From what I know you need at least 3 of them be able to place a model.
