Reading all this feedback here made me nostalgically think about the time that I got involved with this game. I´ve always been a car game fan since the first 2D games like Hot Rod, Lotus and went through the NFS games til the NFS:HP2 and Drivers and then left it at that as l i f e happened. I could not get interested in the racing games anymore as well, because it felt that all new developments were babysitting players, as one could just smash into a wall 200km/h and still continue racing (not that the earlier games didn´t do that, but I was not that demanding back then). Until about 3 years ago I had a rush again and started to google "realistic physics/damage PC games" and BeamNG popped up. I had a good feeling of the tech demo and on 5th February 2014 I bought the game for 11€. It really feels that this is exactly what I have ever expected of a vehicle game - a slightest mistake can cost an entire race and nothing is ever predetermined. I understand the final product is not ready yet, but a huge work has been done and with epic quality. I have absolutely enjoyed the attitude of devs and the community here, which is strong so I guess what I really wanted to say is thank you. May the winds be at your back, the dice be kind and the Gods turn the occasional blind eye!
Devs, whilst i dont think you are likely to appreciate this as i am only one user, but from me, a massive well done! BeamNG is probably my favourite game at the moment - just plug in my G27, hop in a car (usually the Covet ZXi) and go for a drive. If you'd have told me the concept for this game that long ago, I would have said you were mad, and it would never get done. I thought it would be a tiny proof of concept game, and then you would move on. But you didnt. You stuck with it and have created an amazing game, one that is excellent at the moment, but can only get better. I eagerly await the new sounds, cars and maps, as well as the improved physics engine etc. I have been enjoying this from pretty much when you were steam greenlit. But from me, (just one guy in a sea of impressed fans), well done - congratulations, and I am proud to have been part of the beta testing crew and happy to report new bugs in the game so that one day, this game can be truly finished and perfect. Well done --- Post updated --- that market place sounds like an excellent idea. I hope the devs read this post and decide to do that!
You guys are absolutely amazing when i first heard of beamng i was blown away from the idea i played the tech demo alot then forgotten about it then found it again and also found out that it was going to come out at steam and since then i play ut everyday. Also thanks for the frequent updates and not abandonning the game like it happened to spintires.
I can't wait to see the future car types! Stock cars please! BeamNG is an amazing driving game! I can't wait to see the future!
I'm really happy with the path that this game is taking. Big thanks to all on the dev team for their hard work!
I've loved your game from the get go when I bought it for $15 back in 2013. I got everything I wanted then, but you guys keep on adding to it. I've followed every blog you've posted, and I've got to say, thank you. I knew something big was going to come from you guys way back even when I saw concept videos way back who knows when with vehicles in the crysis engine. So, once again, thanks, I've poured probably 200+ hours into this game that's pretty bare, and loved every minute of it. Yet, I have only 1 request. Please, at the very least, try to create a local machine split screen mode. That's all I've got.
Very interesting and nice read . This is just fantastic. I`m even more exited for the future now Keep up the awesome work, and thank you for being so open with us
uhhhh I can't seem to find any info about that? Can you help me? Otherwise, this is so unbelievably awesome. Edge collisions, story mode, persistent purchased cars, physically-based rendering, vulkan, more cars, more maps, multiplayer, on and on... So much win! You guys are awesome. That's that.
I'm absolutely EXCITED about the garage mode! The one screenshot looks absolutely fantastic, it's really one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!
Love this post, great work. By far my favourite car game, never experienced that level of detail and customization in a game. Keep positive and never give up there is a lot of potential in BeamNG!, your game is SO UNIQUE!
