I have a lower powered computer (quad core running at 2GHz with 5 gigs of ram) If there could be an option so that beamNG could run at 30 fps on any map, it can handle the cars fine but the maps always lower my frame rate significantly. I would really appreciate it if you could make a setting to make beamNG more compatible with lower power computers.
dont you think if the devs could magically make the game run faster, they would have. There is nothing that can be done besides disabling collisions.
SixSixSevenSeven i was just thinking that they could downgrade the maps so that it could run better on less powerful computers with an option enabled
There is a reason the Minimum Requirements exist. It's the shittiest spec that can run the game without major issues. The devs won't specifically accommodate computers below minimum spec.
I guess you're only option is to start saving up for a good desktop NZ $2500 would be a good goal. Bluescreen has a good computer building guide somewhere.
i guess i have all the requierments execpt the grapics but i have laptop internals in a desktop so i dont know how to put a card in
I can only imagine typo of 4 or 6 as 2.5gb sticks were never made, neither were 3gb cards, 6 is achieved through a 4+2
You can just delete all the plants and that would improve performance but you seem to have a weak CPU as well.
But that would mean he can only use the 1 - RAM has to be the same speed on all the sticks, otherwise you will see issues.
What you can do to improve framerate is(from best to worst): 1) New computer or parts 2) Disable all background activity(including antivirus as it sometimes take significant part of power to run) 3) Lower graphical settings(I suppose you already did that) 4) In map editor (F11) remove groundcover, bushes etc. Remove wind emulator (or whatever it's called) too. That should gain about 3-4 FPS. Just don't remove Forest, because it contains every tree on the map. Also you can find some simpler or downgraded maps on the forums if you search for a bit. If we are talking real, just start saving money for a new rig. Games won't get easier to handle over time.
nope. There are no issues with using mismatched sticks except it running in single rather than dual channel. It will also run at the highest common speed that both modules support (which may be lower than either modules default speed but usually is just base ddr3 speeds)
