WIP ETK 1500 SUV

love it plz take ur time and finish it so i can test it, and if u could, make a offroad variation because its an suv but also a street version if u can

I dont think he is making it like a Jeep... he is making it more of a Jaguar... so it will be awhile yet...

Is there an estimated release date? Also, is it possible to make a V8 for this? Since it is so big, it will need one!

 

There's already a V8 for it, just the mesh needs to be done .

 

I've made a V8, but even though it looks large, it's only about 200 kilos more than the 800 Series

 

Dont mean to bash ya, man, but it probably isnt the best idea to ask modders for a release date. The best they can do is guess. If they dont get the date spot on then the people who are expecting it will either be disappointed or waiting longer than they need to.

If he finishes early should he just wait till that set day? no, he'll release the mod -> saying a date didnt actually matter.

If he finishes late, everyone's pissed and/or he gets pressured to release it too soon -> no help -> the date didnt matter.

the best thing modders can do is to keep us updated with every little change, just like OP is doing. Reading every update will let us estimate for ourselves when we might get it, and then everyone's happy

I have an idea, how about slightly larger and more angular wheel wells (more of a trapezoid shape), so if you ever make an offroad variant, it would allow for larger offroad tires/wheels. Perhaps it does not fit the style of this vehicle, but it would help to put more contrast between this SUV, and the 800 series.

 

When I look at the pictures then I see that those wheels are too small..I don't know..Maybe it's just me.. But nice work! I really love how this beast looks!

 

Reworked the rear a bit, according to some suggestions
The stripe might return, but chromed and for the higher level models.

I have a suggestion on the back, it looks more violent and "angry" like this(i've raised the taillights, added a chrome stripe, reworked the shape of the taillights and i've added a body color part on the bumper - in photoshop ofc)

By reworked i mean shortened them and gave them a sharper look on the inside and made them flat on top

That body colored part is really nice, makes it very unique - I think I'll also add something like that to the front .

I understand that. Really, I was just looking to see how far along this is. I agree that we should have regular updates, and I sometimes get agitated when a modder *Cough* *VW GOLF MK7* *cough* says NOTHING. I understand that they have personal lives, and these takes hundreds of hours of precise modeling, coding and the like, but even an update on what they've been up to with the mod would be nice. A few times a week at least I think.

This whole mod looks excellent, and I cannot wait until it comes out. This looks amazing and will only add much needed variety to the game.

 

Adding it to the rear bumper as a new part might be a good idea too (the body colored piece)

Also raising the taillights and making them shorter will make it look taller just like the Mercedes GLE
(even without raising them, i still think they need to be a bit shorter)
