i made a post about my problem, but no one seems to know why its happening. since the last update my game has become extremely laggy its to the point of it being unplayable. before the update i was able to play the game on high setting with multiple cars no problems, however now one car is unplayable. my laptop has a 2 gb amd radeon 7670 and with turbo boost an i5 at 3.1. when i load up the options part of the game it appears its not recognising my graphics card (it says intel hd4000) and thats what it appears to be using. I know you are all busy with the good work so any help would be great thanks. bellow ill post a link to the laptop i have. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/comput...furbished-15-6-laptop-black-19572011-pdt.html
I don't know the workflow for this in Windows 8, but is the active GPU for the system your 7670 or onboard Intel?
no get a desktop non windows 8 16gb ram 2tb hard drive nvidia gfx card but not mine cuase is discontinued
Im fairly new to the whole pc scene so im not sure how to look or change that. I can play other really demanding games no problem i play crysis 3 battle field 2 and 3 and a lot more on high setting woth no issues i also played beam ng with no issues before. thanks for the reply - - - Updated - - - im good with what i have thanks - - - Updated - - - After alittle google research i found out this (see pic ) On there there is no mention of my amd card ??
You can disable your on-board graphics in the bios, though, that would cause the 7670 to eat up the battery when your not gaming. EDIT: Could you post a screenshot of your device manager? Search "device manager" with the windows search and double click on display adapters.
Not with all laptops. Some are wired for the monitor to be directly connected to the intel one so disabling it would cause you to have no display. @OP It doesn't matter, it will always say intel in the graphics options. If your framerate is fine it means it's using your dedicated card though.
here i have just updated both of the drivers thanks for replying - - - Updated - - - now the game wont launch i am going to try and reinstall it
Disable your intel graphics. If there is no display, wait 15 seconds and it will revert back to normal. You could also make a ccc profile for beamng so that the 7670 is forced to be used.
OK so after reinstalling the Beamng drive ! Now i cant open the game it just does nothing, its all up to date now aswell ??
i have just tried this it made the game slower than ever could not wait for it to load. and battle field 2 wouldn't play. - - - Updated - - - thanks the game now runs just still laggy
Did you download the beta drivers? If you did, remove them and get the latest current STABLE drivers.
since i updated the drivers i cant open things such as catalyst control center and hp support assistance - - - Updated - - - i updated through windows on device manager
Don't do it that way. Download the latest drivers from AMDs site first then uninstall the current drivers windows installed for you. Now install the drivers you previously downloaded.
thats what its saying if i run as admin - - - Updated - - - ok ill do that now - - - Updated - - - i think i have done this, having the same problems tho
CCC uses .net framework 4. Maybe somehow, it was damaged? Try re-downloading it: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
it just says its already installed is beam ng open gl ?? if so take a look at this http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02948560&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=4100035
Press f10 until a bios screen comes up after restarting your computer. Then just follow the steps listed above.
