Meanwhile in #serious The most mature argument ever to be seen on the internet. @redrobin and I with a bit of input from @SuperNoob05.
Apparently Lenny Face is different in Japanese. It translates to (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °) in every other language.
So apparently we have a new Prime Minister. Theresa May, good to see she was democratically elected... :-/ She was the only person standing for the position, everyone else withdrew.
That is true in theory, but a large portion of people do vote for the candidate, in light of that I feel that the public should have been given the choice over the next PM. Especially considering that one of the reasons the UK left the European Union is because they did not want unelected people making laws for them. But what's the point on voting on something if there is only 1 candidate I guess.
uunfortunately of all the original candidates, she was probably the worst. Anti workers rights, anti benefits, anti lgbt, anti equality between genders (you'd expect female PM to be for male/female equality but she don't give a damn), anti NHS. Hell given her way we'd have privatised every emergency service
Not to mention the snoopers charter... I didn't vote for David Cameron to be in power but I recognize he was a decent candidate and he has done a reasonable job, even with all the stuff I disagreed with such as suggesting that we ban encryption etc. However I guess no one else wanted to be in power during the transition period since it's going to be rough at times. Only time will tell though. Every possibility that she will do a good job.
