Hello guys! So, I haven't touched BeamNG for a while, and I thought I'd play around with it today. I booted it up, and noticed the horrid FPS, despite the fact that I recently upgraded my GPU and RAM. Here's my specs:

    RAM: 16 GB DDR3
    GPU: GeForce GTX 960
CPU: AMD Phenom II Black @ 3.70 GHz

My FPS before was around 30 doing the craziest things, now it's 30 driving around the testing area with the default truck. Help please.

Check the FPS limiter under graphic settings. Maybe you have it set to 30.

This happened to me, and I was dumb and thought it was my cable. But, make sure your CPU isn't overheating. My Intel i7 @ 3.6 GHz was reaching a crazy boiling temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, which was CRAZY. When was happening was that the CPU fan somehow fell off a bit and wasn't cooling the CPU, causing the CPU to get warmer, then try cooling itself off be lowering its load. Then lowering the load would cause the game to slow down. I use a great program called Core Temp, which tells you load, and temp. If that doesn't work well, you may need to add more thermal paste. Anyway, I believe beamng runs at about 50 degrees now. Hope this helps!:) I can tell this may be the problem, because I have a GPU I need to upgrade- a GeForce GTX 760, and get about 40FPS.

Core Temp also goes right into your task bar. Here's the program, it may look different because I haven't updated for a long time. It also lets you set what temperature your computer will automatically shut off at to prevent overheating, if that is necessary.
