So I have heard of "Endless Highway" and "Endless Tunnel," but there has never been a mod where there is endless roads all together, so I decided to make it. Blue=Made Green=Not Made Red:WIP
    Intersections, and "meetings"
    River
    Old Bridges

    End Crash wall
    Road changes

    Ground Textures
    Non slippery roads
    Water

    Advanced Clouds
    Roads
    First ground plane completion

Feel free to leave some ideas below on the second plane. Each page of the planning is a separate ground plane. The third will come in an update, so please, if you would like something included in this part of the map, please tell me below. Cheers!

can you also do a endless highway with realistic buildings that you see when on the highway?

I could try to, but I would have to completely redo that map, with a new terrain, and I would have a lot of importing to do. I could try, but that will not be seen in Endless Paths. I do not have the correct file setup to do such making. Look for it soon.

That is almost impossible. This mod is totally different from endless highway and endless Tunnel. The SSRB is almost impossible to reach the end of. In fact I have never reached the end. And, the infrastructure of the entire map itself is different. There are trees and rivers and the lakes and also Road intersections. I am currently having some texture problems because I am trying to create an asphalt file that looks like grass. This is so that you will not have slippery textures. I am getting some help from Nadeox1 and he is helping me to configure the correct files. So this map will not be as long as the SSRB and it won't be the same as endless tunnel and endless highway. I hope that this will be pleasing to you. When I say endless, I mean long. Because endless is eternity and eternity is forever. So...no, what you expect you will not get.

Can you actually show pictures of the map? If you show no pictures, then it seems like you are lying.

No, I am not lying about this. I did not post pictures because at the time, the maps textures were not finished. If you do not care about what it looks like texture wise, I will post some pics. I am not available the rest of today, and this map doesn't have a ton done. I am kinda working hard and slow to be honest. So here are some pics

    Non slippery roads
    Water
    Advanced Clouds

I am really pleased with the progress of this map. I have also decided to add some other things:

Another map with storms and overcast
    Birds chirping sounds

Yeah! Lets all get excited! We're getting a GOOD mod from me.

Any idea for adding things next to the road that blend in but could also be used for crashing or ramp like things?

Possibly. I have 3 different terrains that will be made. I have the second coming in another update. But the third plane, I am leaving it open for suggestions. So yeah probably...

From the best of my knowledge, only one terrain has collision in a map.

I wouldn't release a flat terrain map. They're okay for speed, but can get boring quickly. You could put lots of JUMPS in it however to USE the speed for some serious fun and crashes.
You CAN however get the FREE version of L3DT program and get a 2k x 2k heightmap imported using real terrain data (terrain party will give you a 1k image which you can upsize in the program). Import that, move your roads around, use the leveling/smoothing tools as needed to get your roads properly straightened, and you'll have a map you're very happy with. It's all about the terrains looks. Most experienced mappers (and many who don't even map) can tell when a terrain has been created by hand, vs loaded from terrain data. While this isn't bad, it's much much more work to make the terrain all by hand, and it also requires much more patience and vision. I am sure some new terrain textures will make a world of difference, also. It's amazing what some vibrant new terrain textures + some real terrain, and a few trees will do for your map. Compliment these with some custom road textures (feel free to take some of mine out of my Interstate series of maps), and you'll find yourself having a professional looking map in no time.
I applaud your effort to try and create a map - but the better you start with, the better the end-result is. It takes a true artist to paint from a 'blank canvas' (flat terrain), and even many experienced mappers have issues with that. We can always use more user-maps here on Beam. Consider posting your honest feelings about why you stopped vs a vague 'I am unhappy with it' kind of thing. I was unhappy with my Tennessee USA terrain's looks until I added in some NICE snazzy new terrain textures, and some new roadway textures (took a while to make them but 20 years in making graphics meant it was no unreachable task). Then I was like 'oh wow - now I WANT to make things in here!' ... just like that, with barely a few hours of work.

Don't expect your first or second map to be totally awesome. Don't expect your second map to top the charts, either. You're only allowing yourself room for disappointment. Being optimistic is a great thing and a good thing to be in life, but sometimes you can just leave yourself too open to be struck down. Go in with a goal in mind, of what you want. Get some inspiration from real-world locations (for example, I themed my maps after various states in the USA), such as on google maps with streetview (it's very helpful actually), and try your best to re-create things in this game to whatever ability you have (having the right textures helps a whole lot, too).

Things mentioned here (all are google-able)
    Google maps & street view
    Textures.com
L3DT, this lets you make a nice 16-bit heightmap in greyscale for your game. There's a tutorial on this site for making map's terrain with it.
You may search up my Nevada Interstate or So-Cal Interstate and take the road or concrete textures you need from here. There's also some in Tennessee USA map if you can find it, but it hasn't made the official release yet due to EXCESSIVE load times (you have been warned - but that's because it's over 100 sq/miles ).

I hope you found what I said constructive and not too unneccasarilly critical. I wish you the best mapping!
    --Cheers & Good Luck

Edit: I added a few pics to demonstrate what I mean. Textures help make your map come alive. Just where to put them? Well that's where vision comes in.
Pics 1 & 2 show what I mean about terrain textures: Pic 1 is before, with default BEAM textures, pic 2 is AFTER with my new custom rock texture, and the terrain resolution for detail adjusted slightly.
Before I enhanced the terrain (difference between pic 1 before and pic 2 after!) I was feeling quite disappointed just like yourself. I mentioned this above, don't feel alone!
Pics 3 & 4 show more custom textures and models in use. They also show what the map looks like with some trees added in to cover that boring-open-space part where there really isn't anything but trees IRL*.
*IRL this is Cumberland County Tennessee, modeled after the real deal. 3rd pic is pine ridge rd/ route 40 interchange, though I made my own more envigorating bridge pillar models.
At this point, pics 3 & 4 I was excited, and although the map is a BEAR to load and will cause Beam to eat up 8gb of ram all by itself at times - it was very well received by those who had a good enough machine to run it.
(I am working on optimizing it).
So seriously, stick with it buddy. This is fun like no other when you get the hang of it. Go get L3DT free version, get a 2k x 2k terrain worked up from terrain party's 1080-square bitmap (smooth and expanded to 2k in l3dt), and choose the proper way to save it as 16-bit. Start working with it, building level roadways that sweep through the hills and bank nicely in corners as you'd find in real-life. Let your brain do the rest of the magic. Who knows, you might make the next awesome 4-or-5-star map? Or not, but hey, at least you TRIED - and you will still feel accomplishment of trying!

I like some of your thinking. But as for the flat terrain, that was purposely made. I do have that program and I plan on using it for my future maps. I have an entire booklet of designs that I will eventually make. Right now, the photos are updated, not literally on this thread though. I have mesh grass which really brings out color, and I have mesh road as well, not just bad looking gray textures like from grid map. I appreciate you allowing me to use textures from your map, and I will, but not in this map because I already have most of my map made and the file is already modded if you know what I mean. I am definitely going to think about some things you said, and yes they were very helpful. I think though for this map, I am good though. For my next map, "Abandoned Mountain Village" I am going to use the file structure of your map mods and I am going to use L3DT or whatever it's called to create the heightmap. I have had issues importing height-maps in the past, but I don't think I saved it in the right file format, and it wasn't divisible by the power of two if you get what I mean. So thank you!!! This WAS helpful, and I will mention you in the description saying that you helped me and gave me lots of tips and pointers. You look like someone who knows what they're doing!!!

Can you keep vegetation and textjre quality at medium (low if possible) so people having lag in this game like me can have two car chases maybe

I have the same issue, but I think they should keep it at high quality, you can just go into the map editor and remove vegetation if you're lagging too much.
