Demo release this month?

I don't think so. From my point of view, devs just let us know, what will be in the game and new video, which I hope devs will show to us in this month. As for beta, I think it's probably will be in April or June.

 

If you are wondering, I got that from the Official TF2 Wiki (which is pretty obvious).

Although a lot of progress has happened, I doubt it, because they still got a lot of work especially the physics before they can even release a demo but on the bright side, you may just expect a new video since it has been almost been 5 months since the last video and a lot of stuff has changed.

 

I would really like to know how you came to the conclusion that "They still got a lot of work" to do before they can even release a demo...? You're not a developer. You're just a fan. You have no clue what they're doing right now, like, none at all. You just come up with a conclusion based on a picture or video, and then present that as a fact...?

Yes, there may still be some work to be done on the game, but, although there are quite a few cars that still need to be put in-game(or at least, cars we haven't seen ingame screenshots of), the models that we have seen ingame(D15, Covet, Grand Marshal etc.) and the physics engine itself all look pretty dang close to being final, even including polish on most of what we see. I have no clue if this is true, but that's the way I look at these screenshots.

So honestly, where *did* you get your facts from that they're nowhere near close to having enough work done for a demo?

 

I never presented it as a fact, I'm just being optimistic!
By the way, you just contradicted yourself.

 

Looking at the new screenshots and the videos it seems playable so I don't understand why some people say a beta (or somthing similar) is not possible.

 

I wasn't quoting you though, since I agreed with you. I was talking to MineTube who presented it as fact that there was no way for a demo to be released any time soon...

And I didn't contradict myself. I said "Even though there are a bunch of cars that we haven't seen ingame yet, the vehicles that *are* ingame look very polished and (near) finalized." A demo usually doesn't have the full features that a final game has, thus it would make sense for a demo(if there is gonna be one) to could consist of 'simply' a terrain and the D15, Ibishu Covet and the Grand Marshal, leaving all the other cars out untill the final game is finished. That's why it's called a 'demo': a demonstration of what's to come.
