    Funnily enough it was that attitude throughout my youth that has resulted in me driving a Sunbird now.

    It's not the best car ever, but even with the engine down on power and making a horrible tickety noise (hope it's just the old spark plugs), it will easily pull on a pair of even crummier Hondas.

    Yes it was, it was sold here as the IS300. Sadly the wagon version was automatic only, but I actually think the sedan looks better anyway. And make no mistake, it was a sharp looker too. Sad to see that its descendants have become larger (may even be in a larger size class now), uglier, and less sporty. They've dropped their snorty, harder-edged demeanor and become more "typical Lexus", and I think it's a tragedy.
