free camera glitch

    the camera glitches in to free cam after I spawn a car up.. I press shift C and the camera thinks its in free cam...

    Can you record a video?

    SHIFT+C puts the camera in free-camera.
    Pressing it again will return to the normal camera.

    Yea I did that it just stays, it zooms out a few inches when i press it but it wont work either way

    You have to describe your issue with details if you want help.
    Without knowing what is happening exactly, we cannot help you.

    'It won't work' doesn't give us any indication of what's happening.

    You press SHIFT+C, and the camera is no more attached to the vehicle.
    That's correct.

    What doesn't work now? You can't move the camera?
    Are you pressing the right keys to move the camera? (WASD)

    A video would still help a lot to understand your issue.

    sorry... I press SHIFT-C, then it is not attached to the vehicle, and I press it again,and nothing happens,next, I went into debug and clicked on toggle free-camera, and it still broke.
    Then I had to go through the clear-catch and safe mode at start-up to make it work again.

    question: can I send video's without YouTube?

    I had a car, a T series and the T series trailer spawned on Utah. I drove the truck and trailer for a bit leaving the car at the spawn point. I crashed the truck and the trailer separated from the cab. I then switched between vehicles and the camera for the trailer was miles away near the point where I originally spawned it. Shift + C didn't reattach the camera to the trailer.

    sounds like a similar bug.

    Sounds like your game is not working as it should.
    Can you try to CLEAR THE CACHE? (Button for it in the launcher).
    If the problem persists, try a clean reinstall.


    -Unistall BeamNG from Steam
    -Delete BeamNG.Drive folder from MyDocuments (backup your mods if you want, but don't put them back yet!)
    -Delete BeamnG.Drive folder from Steam/Steamapp/common (If there is still a folder)
    -Reinstall BeamNG.
