A larger racetrack, or at least one with more gradual changes in steepness (there's one point on the Hirochi speedway where the track dips down pretty fast, and I've spun out there enumerable times) A proper high HP (500-700) race car with some actually super-slick tires (friction coeff ~1.9) and a nice aero kit for down force An modern open wheel race car A functioning tow truck Far better AI (although, this is kind of a given) Police sirens Multi-player (assuming that's even remotely possible with how much calculation needs to be done per car, but at least a LAN setup would be cool) Weather All the general things you need for a proper race, like flags, a working pit lane, etc. A functioning and destructible clutch (that is to say, won't let you put it into gear without depressing the clutch, and if you shift the wrong way, you can damage it) Plexiglass and netting for windows NASCAR-style cars and tracks Superchargers A driver Some scenario involving getting shot at by cannons would be fun. Dirt race track. Fluid leakage, including steam from a smashed radiator The ability to turn my engine on and off I could probably think of others...

Carburetors are what were used on gas motors prior to the use of fuel injection. Rather than having the fuel injected at a throttle body or directly at or in the cylinders, fuel and air were mixed within the carburetor and intake manifold based on vacuum and throttle position. Carbs can have their jets (the "injectors") fouled causing fuel starvation, the floats (which regulate fuel in several ways) can sink leading to a rich fuel mixture, and if there is a leak in the vacuum system (particularly at the seal below the carb) they will function very poorly if at all. That last failure is more likely in an accident. With a few exceptions, carburetors can and do function entirely without electricity, but they are very sensitive to vacuum leaks, foreign debris (mud, grit, dirt, bad fuel, etc.), and ambient air pressure (that's why some cars were sold with an optional "high altitude" package.) Alternators are a generator driven by the engine which provides power to the car while the engine turns. They are what make it so the battery doesn't just weaken and die while the engine is running (you can actually remove the battery on a running car and it will keep going, providing that the alternator is in good working condition). A failed alternator will make the battery the sole source of power for the vehicle, which will lead to it slowly dying while the engine is on. Essentially it would keep going for a bit until the battery weakens to the point that the car will start to run rough, then die all together with no way to re-start it. Since all alternators that I know of are driven by an exposed belt on the engine, any accident that could harm or sever the belt will render it inoperable. Kind of a bummer for a game like this, but I like where you're going with it. Excellent suggestions by the way .

A rough sketch for my map whislist.A little 4 track ´park´. You might think:why is the way to the other tracks so long? They make together a long alpin track with tight turns.(Done from my trip to alpin countries).
In terms of cars, the ones in my wishlist would be: Automotive dating back pre-20s (Think Ford Model T.) Any kind of modern minivan (Dodge Grand Caravan etc.)
