in Microsoft flight sim x there are a lot of planes that are quality built by people like use. And well to transfer them over, would it be possible? and it would jbeams and all that suff? to make them crash able, and i know that we would need to get there approval.

Right now, BeamNG is in alpha and I can't imagine planes being in the near future. Right now the dev's are concentrating on vehicle physics.

We are concetrating on vehicles, but physics are physics. A vehicle that is designed like a plane, will fly.

The main problem with planes is that right now our max map size is too small. So you won't be able to fly far until you'll have to turn.

And that fact is the most fascinating thing about the RoR/beamNG physics. You can build everything. The only limit is your imagination (and processorpower of course :p)

Right now the engine does not calculate air density meaning wings will not generate lift, and there is no concept of terminal velocity. (drop a car from a high place using map editor and you will exceede terminal velocity)
That is the main problem in my eyes:rolleyes:

There is air density atm. Submeshes add air resistance. The thing is that for Gabes cars the air resistance is set fairly low due to the rolling resistance issues we have with these style of wheels(95% solved as is, it used to be much worse ;)) so therefore the cars will hit unrealistic freefall speeds.
