Hello i was driving my car and i hit a wall only the fuel tank took damage and when the car was on fire it was still drivable:/
put your a car on fire no matter where and you can get still a great distance, if something has damage doesnt mean its unusable, when you break your leg you can still walk the point this is not a problem or glitch and like you said only the fuel took damage not everything
Like the other guy said, the engine is metal so it will keep running until the fuel lines/ some important electrical gets burnt, which there are neither of in beamng drive, so your set to drive until all your gas burns away.
yes cause all the other parts are operating the drive line, the engine, the driveshaft, even electronics would still work as long there is fuel still going to the engine and for that matter fuel takes a long time to burn up it doesnt disapear in a 5 minutes
If there was still fuel in the car, then it would still drive. Although you would not see the fuel leaking because that mechanic is not in BeamNG at the moment.
Wtf are you all on about? If the fuel tank is ruptured / explodes the car will not run for much longer as all the fuel will be burnt in a very short amount of time.
Mate its still in early access and there are many other things that have priority over this minor problem. Considering when a fuel tank is ruptured the least of your problems is running out of fuel. I think youd be getting out of the car and running away to let it burn instead of wondering "oh wait i wonder how long until the fuel runs out, i might just wait in the car" while you get third degree burns and scars for life.
You'd be surprised at the number of classic cars still driving with leaky fuel tanks in real life. The only part that would be troublesome is the fire, and as far as that is concerned, I think fire damage is pretty low on the list of priorities for devs.
The main problem with a car being on fire is that the driver would be in danger and might die if he wouldn't escape. Since there's no driver, I guess the car can keep on going.
