I'm gonna make a request to one of the forum moderators: PLEASE put a rule above the "reply to thread" button and/or page that says NOT to ask for a download link... Any who... can nobody understand what WIP means anymore?
Yep, I used the blueprint of a '69 Chevy Nova Yenko to start out this car. A lot of the cues from it are still in the design, but the rest of it is mostly fictional. Now try to guess what the front-end of the car is from
This obviously was designed after a Hemi Cuda. - - - Updated - - - This is Obviously modeled after a Hemi Cuda.
Couldn't agree more. It doesn't really look like one car in particular, though I can see hints of a Chevelle/El Camino, Mustang, and Challenger in it
Hey guys! I haven't had a lot of time to work on this, so progress has been slow. But since it's been 3 weeks without any kind of update, I think it's only fair to show what's been done up until this point. It's not as much as I want it to be (as in, totally done), but at least it's something! A work-in-progress trunk: And of course, who can forget the frame/axle? Yes, it's going to need a lot of work (and research - I have little to no clue what I'm doing). Hopefully I can get some more impressive stuff to show you guys in the future, but it probably doesn't surprise anyone I don't work on this more considering I'm more of a programmer rather than a graphic artist / 3D modeler..LOL Stay tuned
Well... The front clip... Maybe... Sort of? No, not really. But there is a resemblance of a Barracuda. Kind of....
Once again, it is not based off of a Barracuda; It was not one of the inspirations for this car anyways. This thread isn't for arguing about what it is and what it isn't based off of, it's to provide feedback and talk about my project. Arguing about whether or not this is based on a Barracuda isn't something I want to see in my thread anymore. Thanks.
Very slowly working on this again. (imported from here) This wouldn't be possible without using gabester's Moonhawk as a reference for how a chassis works. I don't think this setup would actually work in a real-life situation, lol.
So you're applying the logic that all muscle cars look like the Moonhawk? That doesn't make any sense. I finished modeling the body of this car before I even saw the Moonhawk.
