[Canyon Race] Time Trial - Leader-board

Hi, I am not sure if this section is meant for these kind of things, I hope it is, but if it isn't, then please let me know and I will move this to the right section.

Unfortunately there weren't more than 3 players who submitted their run, but none the less, I will still show the current top 10 (with 3 submissions). Congrats, Tomahawk!

Anyway, to get to the point. I like time-trials, perfecting my time on a race course is something I like to do. I also like to do comparisons with others and their time (and to show off a little as well ^^). Unfortunately there is no leader-board in game yet, so I thought that a thread and form combined with a spreadsheet where everyone can post their best time on a certain track/scenario would be a fun thing to have.

This thread is meant for Canyon Race scenario. You can only use the stock car that comes with the scenario, but you may disable any of the assists on the car.

To disable the ABS: Press ctrl + u (sometimes multiple times) when the countdown timer starts.
To disable the ESC/TSC: You need to disable competitive mode and remove the ESC/TSC control part from the parts menu, after that, you can reload.

I made a form that automatically puts the data into a spreadsheet which you can use to enter your time. You may also post your time and screenshot in this thread. Please mention in you post if you did or did not disable any of them. As proof you need to provide a video or a screenshot with the statistics view after you finish the race. You may post pictures of earlier runs on earlier builds of the game, but to keep things fair only runs done on the current version of the game are able to compete for the top 10. If somehow the picture contains anything out of the ordinary I will dismiss the submission.

Requirements for the submission to be accepted:

• A screenshot/video of your run.
• Has to be done on the current version of the game(as far as we can tell from your screenshot/video).
• Car can't be modified.
• You may disable abs, esc/tcs (see form).
• You may use any camera you want (see form).
• Any controller is allowed (see form).
• Submission may only be submitted once.

Be aware that the rules are subject for change, this is my first time setting these kind of things up, so I may or may not have forgotten something. If your submission was submitted before a change and made invalid by the change, it will not be removed.

I will post the top 10 times (of all time) here at the end of every week. Keep in mind that I will only put the ones submitted through the form in! I don't have the time to scavenge every post made here :X.

If people want more of these threads, I will happily make them, but of course, you can easily do it yourself ^^.

Please do not spam or mess up the datasheets... or try to swap car parts to get a better time, this is meant for having fun and adding some competition to the game. Don't ruin it for others.

My first submission:

4:02.21 / 242.21 seconds with both abs and esc/tcs turned off. I used a g27 controller with h-shifter and manual gearbox.

x) I am not really good at these kind of things, and I have no clue about what average times are on this scenario (one of the reasons I wanted to setup this thread).

Been a while since I raced in Beam, but I figured out I'd give this a try. Not ended up not so badly with 4:00.76 ( well until the next persons are going to post their time )

Yay, now I feel like I have to try again to improve my time . I hope we can get this thing going .

 

yeah i'd like a leaderboards as well......about my time i am sure i can find 3 more seconds but i am too bored right now

Thank you for your interest , but please fill in the form so that at the end of the week I can compile a list of the top 10 fastest times :X. It's quit difficult if I have to check every post in the thread.

I put down some fast times in this scenario earlier this year.
No ESC and a Dualshock 3 controller.

you cheated,the car is not turbocharged.

 

x) I think thats just an old screenshot from an earlier version of beamng where there might have been a turbocharged one for the scenario :X. I probably should require in the main post that only runs that where done with the current version of the game are submit able for the top 10 :x, though I have now way of checking such thing.

 

You cheated, there is no video showing you achieve that time with a keyboard.

 

thats mature, would it change a thing if i had 260 hours in beamng?
and there is no way i will upload a video of MY racing line which would be even better if i had a wheel.
