    Impressive, good job man.
Wow that maps has some evil bumps.
I'm very tempted to try and do a run of it, it looks like a good challange.

Great to see some more videos of the Hill Climb Sunburst in action. I was doing some sessions on the Canyon Race scenario and it's a bunch of fun to push with how stable it is. Was a bit afraid of it being super easy to damage the aero, but it's actually not bad at all even on the dirt section. Reminds me of how fun the Zakspeed Capri was at high speeds.

I should be getting a new video card (GTX 1060) hopefully by the end of next week, so I'm going to hold off on recording 100% effort runs with the wheel until then. Will also try to record and add wheel cam picture-in-picture.

Edit: If anyone checks back to this, here's a bonus teaser using just my 360 controller with the new system.

So heres my first Youtube video ever. It had not much more purpose than to test that whole video capturing thing out. You'll see 5 minutes of bad drivin in a Pessima around ECA, nothing more.

How on earth can you drive with eight to ten frames per second? That's 125ms of frame latency and a few hundred more milliseconds of sub-full-speed-simulation time loss, plus slowed down inputs and of course the other universal losses. There's gotta be around half a second delay between doing and seeing. Props to you for finishing the lap, then.

Props to you @Vinh, I've been there before, though only got on par with those framerates on the unoptimized bridge. You indeed get used to it and can get surprisingly fast in spite of a mountain of lag if you learn lines that don't require corrections. Unfortunately, keyboard driving often requires corrective steering even in FWD cars because of a lack of precision, so it's those two together that makes things really challenging.

Steering wheel was difficult to get setup in front of my 1080p monitor over my 720p TV because of the layout of my room (have to move stuff around), so recorded a sub 3:40 run of the new Downhill Rally scenario with a controller in the meantime.

PS, unless the cut at 0:34 over the packed dirt (i.e. not sticky) is developer intended, it'd probably be a good idea to put a fabric wall around the grass bank there to make it more clear, or even just position checkpoint 6 earlier and in the middle of the dirt road to the left of that grass bank. Checked all the videos of it up just to make sure it isn't only me that feels lured in by that one clearing, and basically all of them jump through there to some extent except for one person who drifted way wide of that turn and got lost due to the vague route markers.

This is a nice thread, I also miss watching more serious racing videos in BeamNG.drive.

Decided to plug the wheel (g27, 900ยบ) and do some laps with my favourite car at Hirochi Raceway.

Still learning the fastest lines (that long downhill right hander needs lots more practice...) and the gear ratios as well. As usual in these cars, some left foot braking and always heel and toe-ing.

When did the Moonhawk become so fast and drivable? Props to @Goosah and the rest of the dev team for a great boaty yet stable handling model for the Moonhawk.

Anyway, this is my best run with the '78 Moonhawk Sport. Full manual w/ clutch using my DS3 controller, I think I managed a decent laptime and excellent apexes. it's not perfect, but it's a great "clean lap" in my opinion.

    Thoughts?

@randomshortguy Clean lines indeed, that's an excellent lap. Most the time gains I saw would come from using more of the track (wider entry or track-out) on turns 2, 4, 5, over the second bridge, first part of the esses, and the final corner, as well as getting cleaner exits without sliding on turns 7 and 10. You want to get a bit farther left before the entry of turn 5, but the exit was a perfect example of throttle steering and using slip angle on exit without sliding.

@stenyak Very nice driving as well, good to see more laps and steady improvements from lap to lap, as well as some good precision countersteering. Enjoyed your track drifting footage too.

Haven't posted more focused racing videos in a bit, as I've been busy trying to adapt a car seat for my racing setup to prevent all sorts of poor ergonomics, but toughed it out for some hours to complete all of the Grid Map scenarios with the G27. These aren't all strictly clean driving due to the crashy or aggressive stunt scenarios, but Sky Curve 1 and 2, Slalom, Off-Road Short Course, Suspension Race, and Jumps are all very clean and precise runs outside of an occasional rough ending. And not comparable versions, but I was able to best the top Scenario TIme Megathread posts for Sky Curve 1 and 2, Slalom, Off-Road Short Course, and Suspension Race, and got pretty close on Jumps. Couldn't get anywhere near the top time on Big Air Vanster anymore however, due to the car not leveling out off of the ramps. Also, let me know if you hear anything off about the sound design on all the replay clips, I tried to make it sound as natural as possible.

I recorded a run of Forgotten Raceway with the scenario included Barstow as well as the SBR4 Hill Climb, and plan to make a Hill Climb Showdown video pitting the three Hill Climb cars against each other in a time attack on that course.

That was some A grade wingin' it at 0:50 onwards. Larger wheelbases are quite the blessing in those situations.

Been a while since I did a couple purely clean driving videos. Here's a clean run of @Instant Winrar's Utah Circuit in the 200BX and a clean run of Jungle Rock Island's Heavy Machinery Delivery scenario at night with the H45 Ambulance.

Finally started my BeamNG Showdown Series. Three clean laps around Hirochi Raceway Full Circuit with the muscle cars in the game, as well as voiceover comparing technical details and some cinematic shots.

Also did a much faster lap on the standard scenario. Unsure if the V8 model got any faster since 0.5.4, or if the steady 60 fps just makes that much of a difference.

Here is a video of me doing some racing on Utah with the Ibishu Pessima Hillclimb.

    I'm using a G25, 900 degree lock, H-shifter with manual clutch.
This route if amazing to take a hillclimb car on.

you should let the car flow more with your own path(you should use the road to the max and not follow it)
