Hi all, First of all i think i should thank ALL content creaters and modders out there for already having some awesome content release so quickly. This really extends the fun of the game by over 100% !!! I do however have a little request. Even though the game is only out for a short amount of time i find it hard to keep track of updates of this new conten. So i would kindly like to suggest that you add version numbers to the rar-files, so i (and others) can quickly see if the files we already have needs updating This will save a lot of time instead of reading all these threads till the end... ?? Thanks, and keep it up !! kamaradski
well one, learn how to spell Please, and two, the modders can do whatever they want with the version numbers, if they choose to have them they will have them, if they don't want them or don't put them up please don't beg like this for them to put them up, this thread is way out of place here, and you shouldn't have made it in the first place. Will a Moderator or Admin please either delete or move this thread to the respective forum.
Says the guy with the impeccable capitalization skills and inability to press the period key. Anyways, you have a valid request here OP. I have thought the same and you simply posted what I am sure more people have been thinking. Thanks in advance to any and all who take OP's request into consideration.
Sorry about the errors, typed it fast. And with the capitalized (Please), I was putting emphasis on that.
Maybe he typed his equally as fast, if not faster? Don't apologize to me man, just remember "Let he who is without grammatical faults, cast the first flame".
This is a great idea. Having a version number would make it much easier to identify wether or not I need to update that file. And to the one that said "they don't have to", you are right. But this suggestion IS how real programers do things. Why do you think there is a version number on EVERYTHING? You car has one, your phone has one, and EVERY bit of software avalible today has one. So is it such a bad idea to suggest that this community does the same thing? No it's not, and you should have kept your mouth closed. I guess you were never told that if you don't have something nice to say...\end rant
nice idea guys so we are following the windows version format for now: <major version number> . <minor version number> ( . <build> . <patch level>) I guess just using the major and minor fields should be fine to make it simpler
What a stupid post to make. The guy was simply making a (very valid) suggestion - not, as you put it, begging. I create content for BNG and think that adding revision numbers to files makes a lot of sense, for both myself and people who download my file. I suggest that in future, you take the time to read and adhere to the forum guidelines: First step: Think about what you want to post
