Here is my problem, I am using a Microsoft sidewinder precision racing wheel. And when I want to accelerate, no problem. But, If I want to reverse, then I need to coast backwards, otherwise, the car just brakes. But If I have a freshly spawned car, It goes in reverse, until I accelerate.

Make sure you are in Manual mode and shift into reverse, or press the brake when stopped to reverse.

Well sir. If the gearbox is in arcade mode you need to be stopped for it to activate reverse but then if you lift off the brake (not sure if it occurs when you go from pressing 100% on the pedal to 50% or if you fully lift off) the game thinks you want to stop just like in forza with automatic gearbox, so it stops and you need to start the process of reversing again.

    ?
    Hold the brake button.
If the car is in reverse, it keeps reversing.
If the car isn't in reverse, it brakes to a stop then starts reversing.
When reversing, the accelerator key becomes the brakes.
If you hold the accelerator while in reverse, you'll brake to a stop then start going forward.

Thanks for that @mumboking, I was in the middle of writing a story for english and was multitasking between the two so it became a bit muddled although still understandable.

Occasionally I've had it fail to reverse with an xbox controller. The solution is simple. Brake to a full stop. Release the brake. Then press the brake button again, it will then reverse.

Nah, it brakes to a stop, then just sits there braking. Tried last one, just sits there braking.

Also for clarification, it works just fine on keyboard.
