Stripping the D15 - The fun way or...how to turn the d15 into a go-kart How many parts can you remove before breaking the truck? (without messing with the jbeam files) I started with a shiny new default D15 (imported from here) Remove the passenger door and front fender (I kinda tore the fender in half though) (imported from here) Remove the drivers door and front fender (went much cleaner then the passenger side) (imported from here) Remove the front bumper and grill/lights assembly (imported from here) Remove the tailgate and rear bumper (imported from here) Truck still looks pretty solid overall and still drives straight (imported from here) Next, take off the hood for extra airflow (rest of the passenger side front fender also came off) (imported from here) Forget about cheesy muffler tips to make your car sound like a lawnmower. Just take off the whole exhaust line to let that engine roar. hmm....maybe the bed doesn't come off. Kinda bent the truck down a bit in the process of trying. (imported from here) There we go, went over one of the sets of ramp making the truck land on its middle on the edge of the ramp to flatten it out. (imported from here) Bit more banging at the back end and got it turned up a bit more, it still drove straight but then the drive shaft broke when I tried to bounce it off a ramp again (imported from here)
I'm pretty sure you're getting sued by Gavrilâ„¢ Trucks for this. Have fun finding a lawyer who will take your case...maybe Gabester? Oh wait... Interesting though, anyways. I couldn't do that even if I tried...I usually just end up breaking them immediately
it actually took several tries due to mus-judging impact angles or speed and either breaking a front tie-rod or breaking the engine. was actually a fun little challenge. thinking of trying it with the cars next. -doors, slid the truck sideways into a wall to loosen them, then as they were swinging freely reversed up beside one of those low boxes to rip em off, usually took the fender with it. -front bumber and grill, was gently banging into the corner of one of those box things and pulling up along side them and backing up to catch the bumper on them to try and tug them off. After a bit of banging and tugging it fell off. -rear was the same way, but had to hit the parking break to swing the truck sideways and slam the rear end into a wall to make the tailgate fall off -muffler, found a spot on one of the ramps that was just high enough to reverse into and catch the muffler to knock it loose, then when it was hanging ripped it off on those curb/sidewalk like bumps -hood, without the bumper getting in the way I was able to bang it into a wall head on the make it bend up, then it was high enough to catch on the slanted glass piece so used that bend it back, then was kinda going beside it and backing up to get it caught and yank it off. -for the bed, i backed it under the long tall ramp at an angle to get the ends pushed out and up a bit, then was reversing the truck into the slanted glass piece hoping it would curl it up and rip it off the frame, but apparently it wont come off.
We actually had plans for a simple gamemode like this - cause as much damage to a vehicle as possible while still retaining drivability, and get it from point A to point B.
demolition derby race need to get to the finish line (after however many laps) and get points rewarded more on damage delt to your opponents then on your actual finishing position, minus points for damage to your vehicle.
