In ror the steering is very touchy and you can even break the steering by turning the wheels one direction to the other quickly, would be nice if there was something done about it.
I think they said they are going to add controlller smooting to the final game not 100 % sure but I think they said that
We're currently using 360 controllers for testing which work quite well. There is also smoothing so you can't rapidly swing the wheels faster than you could turn them in real life too.
The input smoothing will be quite sophisticated and natural-feeling for controllers, adjustable, and completely disable-able for steering wheels
I enjoy using the wheel and think it makes the game more realistic, so I hope you get input maps for Logitech wheels! Plus then the kiddies don't complain about them not working like on the ROR forums!
Would be really cool to see an HUD like RoR has for gears, pedals and with some button/axis maps. Just a thought. Could even include modes for re-allocating buttons & axes on the fly (for more complex vehicles like cranes)
I have just downloaded this game, yet to play it. I can't get either the PS3 or the PS4 controller to work. Do they work on this or is there something I can do? Thanks
we are still working on them, see http://www.beamng.com/entries/97-Input-Controller-support (The update is not ready yet)
At the moment you need custom drivers for the controller to work with windows and then a custom inputmap for the controller to work with BeamNG. Looking forward to see what the dev blog update brings.
