The map overlay is pretty accurate, it probably has some margin of error but it's just about right. Scale comparisons like that are made by developing a scale for the GTA 4 map (usually by measuring speeds, distances and times, then making some tomfoolery that I can't grasp to determine the size), and/or scaling each map so the airport runways are the same size. Either way, the people who make these kind of maps and comparisons are unbelieveably meticulous about this kind of stuff, they wouldn't let it be wrong.
This means i'm going to have to dig the old PS3 from out of its grave (moved to PC gaming like everyone else) and resurrect the poor thing. I don't think this game is gonna look all that pretty on such old hardware. I would wait for it to be released on PC but the fun in the game is exploring, and by the time it's out on PC i will know pretty much everything because my friends have been openly talking about it, not to mention the countless youtube videos that will have been made about it. PC... please :'(
It isn't very well scaled. Some of the highways are just as big in both gta's. Yet, GTA v's map has much bigger highways than gta iv. However, it is close. I'd say, full LS is about the size of the GTA iv map. as above.
That's exactly what I was explaining. Los Santos, the city of GTA V's map (as in, excluding the countryside), is the size of GTA IV's map. Since the city is only around 1/5th of GTA V's map, it's far bigger.
Looks like Take 2 Game (AFAIK the publisher) is taking down all these leaks. EDIT - Somebody else uploaded them. Original videos got taken down (by the author) Some car damage, those sparks are ridicolous. We are in 2013, Phones that records damnit 1080p video and we still have some awful quality video here :\ I guess somebody is going to be fired from rockstar (or the shipping company) if his name comes out.
How do you know that? The cars can be improved to be more durable, you don't know if that car was default or not. Don't jump into conclusions so easily.
Well the last video shows it pretty clearly that the damage is even more crap than in gta4. - - - Updated - - - As far as I know it was a dealer who leaked it But it shouldn't be a problem as the links of the original videos still exists to find out who the videos belong too.
oh god... its less than a week to release, i don't think they'll improve anything. and i'm pretty sure the car is stolen directly as he started filming from start, if you watch them all.
I'm not saying improved by the company by a patch, I mean going to a mechanic in the game. Might be... or might not... I'll wait until I see it for myself.
Even if they would want to change something, I am pretty sure they can't anymore. I think they started producing the cd and shipping into the whole world since at least 1 week. But maybe they didn't have enough time and will add a better damage via. patch.
