This is Lake Louise, a Map I was working on for a long time . This Map is also a Port from Assetto Corsa and its one of the nicest Maps. It features 23km of undulating and exciting roads, from single-lane bumpy mountain paths to four-lane wide highways. It comes with Varied road surfaces. There are also breathtaking views. The map is free explorable and there are a ton of easter eggs I (schumacher) portet the map from assetto corsa to Beamng.drive , so I asked the author 1 mounth ago if I can release this map but I got no response. The map is WIP because I will start a poll if you want to have this port at all.It took me about 2 hours to find and drive all the roads so this map will defenetly not get boring. The map is FPS friendly btw !!! I didnt made this map at all, all Credits are going to Lucas – Xtremepsionic and Dominic Munn !!! There are atleast also some bugs I cant fix like everything like trees got exact crashmodel which can be annoying with the time, also the roads are just roads without different feeling. Credits: Map : Lucas – Xtremepsionic and Dominic Munn Port to Beamng: schumacher Clouds: Doullpepper I will take the map instantly down if the author get a problem with this. Here are some screenshots: EDIT: I cant create a poll at the moment, Im sorry
I like it I'm trying to help a bit here, I however have no knowledge of BNG terrains and hardly any of BNG modding itself, so there's a high potential of me talking nothing but stupid things. Tree collision: I think there's a file defining a mesh name for the model which you can see and one for the one you will crash into. Removing the one to crash into a replacing it with a 3000km away little plane should fix that then. Road surface: I'm not sure, but wasn't in a quite recent update the ability added to change the actual surface of meshes by different models? Ground type or something, I think there's a file in which predefined/custom ones are in, but as above, not sure.
uuhh man.. I found the bear, i wondered all the time why there was a bear texture... poorly I deleted this texture XD --- Post updated --- which preview pic should I use ?
Very interesting. I've ran a few laps around LL in AC. I hate to burst your bubble, but considering he's asking donation for the full map I hope you're only doing the free version. Even then, it's iffy if you didn't actually get permission. Also, how'd you actually pull the geometry and such? Doesn't AC do its .kn5 files that you can't open?
Thanks for your reply,I used the latest free Version availble (I think on the Version you have to donate for are things like a high way etc which isnt included in the map I have... there is a Tool out there which can easyly can convert many game files to .dae blender Format so it wasnt that hard to port this map.
The map itself is finnished , I just wanted to ask the author before but I got no response. So I think I will Release it soon with just crediting him but before I have to Set up again the water bacause it causes atm. Heavy performance issues
Would you consider uploading the full version of the map aswell? The 50 km one. I have it on AC and I absolutely love it and I wouldn't mind paying for it again.
As far as I dont own the game assetto corsa I dont wanna pay for the long Version , even if I would do this to honor the awsome work but this is the regular Version but its still a ton of ways to drive --- Post updated --- At the moment pretty poor causing the water, idk what I did but the reflections on it causing awful drops and just a frame rate around 40 fps on my i7 5820k and gtx 980 but if I delete the water I get way over 100 so its fine if I improve the water settings which I will do soon
A little tip - If you're going for realism, use darker textures, It feels better. Just trying to help, If I'm coming off rude, It's 1:46 in San Diego right now. T_T
If you're still having an issue with the water dropping FPS, lower the reflection resolution, or lower the amount of times it gets displayed per second. Generally, if it gets displayed 30fps (something like 33 ms timing), the FPS won't drop near as much as say 60fps on reflections. Slower and it looks laggy and strange. I set it to 30fps on my Tennessee map. If you would PVT me the link on a message then I could take a look and maybe give a suggestion or two (or send you a fixed .mis file if it's that easy).
First things first, I'm very sorry for bumping an older thread. However I am curious as to what happened with this project. I am a HUGE fan of Lake Louise in Assetto and I've easily spent 800+ hours here and it is very much a must have. Here's hoping, -Trippychris
